He plans to sit out this year, transfer, and have 2 years of eligibility left. I believe a coaching change might have spurred this on. We offered Evan back in 2015. I wonder if there is mutual interest in the Tribe as a landing spot? My initial thought is no. High scoring D1 bigs would get a lot of P5 interest. I hope we reach out though. I loved his game coming out of high school, and man, his position and skillset fit this team absolutely perfect. Very talented.
Perhaps Cole, and all of our Chicago connections could work on him.

Maybe this was already posted but Boudreaux is going to Xavier.

Creighton, Stanford, and Oregon have all been in recently to see Drew Peterson.

A coach from New Hampshire is following Brandon Younger on Twitter. A Bucknell coach is following David Nzekwesi. The director of player development at Tulsa is following Donatas Kupsas.

LJ Owens took MVP honors in Surf division of Surf n Slam Tournament in San Diego this past weekend. Led his team to Surf championship.

Love seeing this kind of rapport with this incoming class:

Looks like Kupsas announces tomorrow. It's between Hofstra, Fordham, and Weber State.

Expect he'll stay home at Hofstra. A real blow for them if they don't get him.

Jonathan Holmes and Yagizhan Selcuk (6'8" 235lbs - Istanbul, Turkey) are now following each other. Selcuk is a forward for the Phelps School in Malvern, PA (I think the Phelps School and Chase Audige's the Hill School play each other). He holds an offer from St. Francis (PA).

Also getting looks from GW.

I like Selcuk. Physical with very nice skills. Posts strongly, passes well, and runs the floor. He doesn't appear overly fast or quick, but he seems sneaky athletic having little trouble creating space or getting to the bucket. And, as you see below, he is a strong leaper & strong shooter. His strengths mesh perfectly with what Shaver likes to do. He is more of a pure stretch 4. More in line with what many hoped Paul Rowley would develop into.

Kupsas doesn't use Twitter all that often but in the last week he's followed two Weber State players.

It would be nice if Blair can grow another couple inches as he seems to have a nice inside game.

RE: 2018 Basketball Recruiting
Missing on Kupsas, Hofstra is still without a commit and 4 spots to fill. At this point, it looks like this (if Verbal Commits is right):
Charleston - 2 commits 2 left
Delaware - 1 commit, 3 left
Drexel - 1 commit, 4 left
Elon - 3 commits, 0 left
Hofstra - 0 commits, 4 left
JMU - 2 commits, 2 left
Northeastern - 0 commits, 1 left
Towson - 3 commits, 2 left
UNCW - 2 commits, 2 left
W&M - 4 commits, 3 left

Considering he's a deadly shooter from outside, wouldn't that be a big christmas present to go with his football mentality.

Have a feeling Quinn is gonna play a lot at the 4 position for us and we are going to play a lot of 3 guard lineups. I’d expect Quinn to fill the Tot role possibly next year and get some back up PT at the 3 and 4 position.

I’m hoping Chase grows a few inches too. With his mentality, he’s be an awesome wing at like 6-5 or 6-6 who is very athletic and likes to play D.

Need another big or two but these next few years is going to feature a lot of lineup versatility and will present Shaver with the opposite problem of this year where the rotation easily shook out but we are so thin and worried abt fatigue and Pt. The next few years, figuring out rotation and lineup combos will be more difficult due to increased depth. Not a bad problem to have if we can get the chemistry right :).

RE: 2018 Basketball Recruiting
Article on the current recruitment of Drew Peterson. No real new info. Still lists the Tribe as a suitor. HM interest, but no offers. Claims what he wants "good coaches, a good school, and the opportunity to earn minutes." Kind of a standard generic response, but fits W&M. Not sure of how realistic an opportunity he would get at a HM.

Drew Peterson picks up an offer from UC Santa Barbara. Peterson and a coach from Murray State are now following each other.

BJ Shaw and a coach at Eastern Washington are now following each other. Shaw's friend Austin Fadal just committed there.

Connor Crabtree and a JMU coach have started following each other.

David Nzekwesi and coaches at American, Coastal Carolina, and Incarnate Word are now following each other.
