The real Owls play USM and UAB every year.
I didn't know Temple played two C-USA opponents.

Did you just make this up? It makes no sense given teams having different OOC games on different weeks.

I don't think you'd have too many Middle fans object to that, the problem is, after pairing us for proximity and perhaps Southern Miss and Marshall out of history, what are your other five pairings? Who in the east is going to have to travel to El Paso every other year? Who in the west will have to travel to Norfolk every other year?
Further, unless we expanded to a 9 game conference schedule, it would take 12 years to complete home and away with the rest of the opposite division.

I think everybody has while the conference schedule rotation was stuck in neutral.
Every team should see every other team once every 3-4 years, and a full crossover home-and-home rotation should be completed every 7 years.

Hope Marshall can keep USM and pick up LA Tech to play every year.

Yes. It was a joke on the way CUSA just flipped the home/away schedule from 2016 to 2017 seasons and called it a wrap.

Bump, can we expect the conference football schedule in the next three weeks? Isn’t the conference meeting in January?

It was released on January 26th last year, so I'd assume it'd be released about the same time this year.

Man, 14 is way too many teams for a football conference.
It'll be nice to finally get a set rotation going though. Now that we're seemingly somewhat stable, future schedules (or at least the cross-divisional games) ought to get predictable.

Having already played Marshall, Charlotte and Old Dominion the last two seasons. Or do we just rotate games from this season
I was under the impression that 2017 was the first year of a two year cycle.
Everyone plays who they played in 2017 with home games switched.
Charlotte’s should be
Home: USM, FIU, ODU, WKU
Away: UAB,Middle, FAU Marshall
Except that we played USM in 13, 14, 15, 16, 17. Throwing out 13 as ECU, Tulsa, and Tulane were still in conference, wouldn't 14 have been the first year? So 14-15 and 16-17. We have rotated other west teams, but USM has remained constant. Or maybe they started over with UAB back. That kind of threw a wrench in the works. Either way, USM is still there.
I'm not saying everyone has a permanent crossover, but I think MU/USM does.
USM vs Marshall every year... yes.

Do we take anybody to Marshall? How many of our fans make the trip?
No offense. Same went for ECU. Good games and competition, some rivalry, but a bit out of the way for an annual opponent.

I think 2017 marked the occasion that we have finally played the last C-USA team that had avoided us (LaTech)

I think Marshall is the last team Tech hasn't played in a regular season game.

Yep. Same for us. We should get you guys this year because we have played everyone in the west division at least twice home and home save LaTech. My guess is that we have LaTech and UTEP this year (But UAB wouldn't surprise me either).

the only opponent USM hasn't played in the regular season in this version of CUSA is WKU. We've played them once but that was the 2015 CUSA CG. We've played FIU and FAU once each, MT and ODU twice I believe, Charlotte 3 times, and Marshall every year.
