So who watched the game? It was blacked out in my area, but I followed the stats. Looks like Brownell owned Keatts' wolf pack from around the midway point of the first half. This game wasn't close.

NCSU just doesn't have the guards or three point shooters Keatts needs for his system. Clemson killed them scoring off TO's and hitting 3's. Normally the way Keatts wants to play. NCSU ended up shooting about 20% from 3 and Clemson was outscoring them 20-5 at one point on scoring off TO's.

Good for Brownell!

Yep, make or break year for him. He has to make the NCAA Tourney to save his job. It looks like he has the scorers this year to match with the consistently great defense.

I can't remember the site, but at the beginning of the season I saw him named on a "ten coaches on the hot seat" list.

Looks like they will Proff. I saw them play earlier this year, they looked like NCAA material for sure, but ya never know.

That’s still a very tough ACC to get through. I think they’ll get in if they win the games they should. Any slip ups might put them on the bubble they want to avoid.

Brownell's contract was extended through 20-21 season back in April. Great move by BOD in Clemson. He's safe and that will help in recruiting.

Extensions mean very little in terms of stability. He need to win.

Riiiiiiight. The point is that if he was given an extension in the off season, he’s not on the hot seat. Especially not with the record he has now. He’s safe.

Not true CG. Extensions at Clemson aren't the same as at UNCW. We can't afford to buy out more than 2 years, they could buy out the remainder or the contract and not blink an eye. But, they do realize the message it sends recruiting wise, so they will either extend if they don't fire. Clemson just spent a fortune upgrading Little John. They expect to win and Brad is expected to win this season. So far, so good. But, if he doesn't begin to compete in the ACC they'll let him go. He probably needs to be top 5 and get in the big dance to keep his job.

Clemson reached the Top 25 yesterday, slotting in at # 25.

That buyout amount means nothing at Clemson. Has to make NCAA Tourney.

They are recruiting a top five player and it's down to them and Kentucky. The extension may just help in the decision.
