Just got back. Might have been one of the worst basketball games I've ever watched

Haynes defense in the 1-3-1 is what sparked us. Had a couple of steals during 1v1s in half court.

That was a hard fought game. I understand the frustration. Thought we'd have to burn those jerseys for a half or so.

Why do we always use the number 1 for our retail jerseys? My 24 jersey from 2010 I think is my favorite just cuz all my other odu jerseys are number 1

Randy is not a 3 point shooter. He needs to recognize that and stick to what he's good at.

Which would be what? wild out of control fast breaks that go nowhere? Missed lay ups?

oh yea and nsu band sounded great, could have done without the dual drummers but it is always a pleasure to listen to them play.

I believe NSU has lost to a D2 and D3 school.

I'm glad I went tonight, it was actually fun to see a game at Scope again. The first half was the worst half of college basketball I've ever witnessed in person, the second was better though.

Randy is a good player. He's a good distributor, can shoot inside the 3 point line, finish at the rim, limit turnovers, and play good defense.

He did not shoot well tonight...but his defense was outstanding.

You can be proud of the fight that NSU put up tonight booman. They didn't make it easy for ODU. I'm sure the injuries to some of your key players have had some impact on the team and factored into their 1-12 record. Hope NSU gets some or all of them back in time for the conference tournament (or before). Good luck in the remainder of your season.

He's one of the most optimistic monarch fans as well.

That atmosphere was horrendous. The Scope is a complete disaster. I don't think anyone should put much stock into that game. We were getting destroyed at the rim and the refs weren't calling anything. Norfolk State hit some prayers. Randy was the reason we won that game. His defense is so far ahead of what Baker was. I see some notes about him not being a good shooter again. Try being the guy that is taking these shots at the end of the shot clock. His shots were contested and out of rhythm. He spends all of his energy on the defensive end being a team player, ultimately leading to his decline in shooting. We are very lucky to have Randy Haynes back this year. Everyone saying he needs to stop shooting...put a lid on it!!! How about telling Jones to give him a breather so he can get his legs under him? He will find his shot as he moves throughout the season. NEVER PLAY ANOTHER GAME AT SCOPE!!! Always wear those uniforms.

Win the game and RPI drops 31 to 84. Not a smart game to schedule.
