Coaches like Kiffin are never locked in...especially at FAU. He gets a raise and they get a bigger buyout clause. That's it

Speaking of Kiffin, FAU is pouring it on Akron. You can definitely see a talent and coaching difference between these teams.

Let's hope the rest of the MAC plays better. Akron is getting dominated in every facet of the game.

This is shades of (take your pick) the 2006 Poinsettia or the 2015 Poinsettia. Really overmatched here as expected.

Kendal Briles is their OC. He came from Baylor and was there when they had their scandals. He's known for his high powered offense and he's definently a great offensive mind. I wonder how long they will be there or what it will take to compete with bigger programs. You can't beat their location though.

RE: 10 year deal for Kiffin
Watched bits and pieces of Akron getting their fly unzipped.

Difference in talent, athleticism and speed were unfair.

How did FAU get to this level in BCS from nowhere in ten short seasons?

Do you "fault" Kiffin from running up the score late into game? Did reserves play more than five minutes.?

I remember Novak once saying in our " darkest hours": It's our job to stop the opponent from piling up points and yards. End of story to running up a score.

Show me the money.

Toledo/FAU would of been a fun match up. Akron had no business playing these guys.

Location, location, location.

UCF and USF were nothing - literally - within a few decades ago. Easy to build a program and recruit in a growing population base surrounded by palm trees and beaches.

Eh, kinda douchey to go for 2 when up by 32, starters throwing it around leading 50-3, etc. Padding his resume.

I only watched most of the second half and Akron was already disinterested. Weak hand-slap tackle attempts. Hope they enjoyed the touristy stuff.

Kiffin said he went for 2 because Akron's assistant AD was talking trash at yesterday's press conference. I'd love to hear what the staffer said.

I like it.

Other team doesn’t like it? Stop them then. Stop hand-slap tackling, whatever that is.

Howard Schnellenberger deserves a lot of credit, getting the stadium built and laying a solid foundation for a premier program.

I heard coworkers mention that Lane Kiffin was making fun of Akron's mascot being a kangaroo called zippy and that there are no kangaroos in Ohio. I wouldn't expect him to conduct himself with class though.

Lol. He’s got a point.
