I don't know why Southern Miss fans feel they can talk smack when they played UTEP, Charlotte, & Rice and only beat Marshall by 1 and UTSA by 2. North Texas was much better than you this season and lost their bowl game to a formidable opponent in Troy.
I'm not talking **** about UNT I'm just saying I expected them to give Troy a better game. Troy had a GREAT season. However they still lost to 4-8 South Alabama during the season. Meaning that its still sad that our 2nd best CUSA team got blown out by 20 points.

new SBC > new CUSA. Troy, App, and Ark State will have great teams for awhile. Georgia State squad will only get better under Shawn Elliott as our young talents continue to develop. ULM's young offense is dynamic. GS's triple option offense will find their glory once again.

Troy also beat out ranked LSU. Troy is by far Sun Belt's top team (sorry, Appalachian State). And South Alabama is only one loss. MAC and Toledo use the same logic against Florida Atlantic - we lost to Buffalo. And they bring it up every chance they get. But North Texas did keep it close in the first half; it ended 22-20. They just couldn't keep up with them in the second half. Could they have played better? Of course. But they had a great season and I expect great things from them in the near future.

I don't know if I'd agree with SBC > new CUSA. The SBC is rated last in Massey for a reason this season. Troy's a really good team with a good coach though.
Regardless, both conferences have been pretty crappy so no point in a pissing match. SBC is sort of top heavy and CUSA is mediocre all away around with maybe FAU being really good at this point in the season.

Exactly! Neither does 43-28 when you consider we had a 21-7 lead. Did UNT take it to us or did we give it to them?
