Challenge
Since it seems like the threads on this forum are very negative right now, here's a challenge: Reply with ONLY positive comments, observations, opinions or stories about the Men's Basketball and Football teams, staffs, players or performances.

Neither are 100% bad so lets highlight the positives for once.

RE: Challenge
There's nothing challenging at all about this. Even though the Huskies will have a lot of big names graduate this year, there are a lot of big names coming back.

Sutton Smith, Kyle Pugh, Jordan Steckler, Spencer Tears

Next year we will be better, I feel a lot better. Arrow is headed in the right direction...UP!

I agree the arrow is pointing UP but the OCC schedule is the most formidable ever.

RE: Challenge
Great thread, ball fan, My contribution would be that if any folks reading this have not yet seen Eugene German, Dante Thorpe, and Levi Bradley and the rest of the Huskies, you’re missing quite a show. Hopefully these three guys will lead a resurgence in Huskie basketball. They are just so fun to watch

Can't wait for the 2018 recruits to sign and practice.
Who will be the next Sutton Smith to come out of nowhere and be a stud?

The NIU men’s b-ball team is currently 2nd in the MAC in field goal%(yes that is a measure of how well you’re shooting the ball. They are 5th in 3pt shooting.360%. German is 2nd in the MAC in scoring 19.9pts, BRADLEY 15th at 15.2pts and Donte Thorpe is scoring 11.1pts. Last year the highest scorer was Maric at 13pts. Huskies also lead the MAC in fewest turnovers a game at 11.4

Can physical challenge be substituted ala Double Dare?05-duck

As long as it isn't evading Sutton Smith, having to tackle Jordan Lynch.

The OOC schedule is awesome. We thought our OOC was tough this year; we should have beaten BC, Beat Nebraska, could have beaten ranked SDSU. The HUskies, on a good day, can hang with just about anybody. Remember the Ohio State game? I'm not one for moral victories, but damn, I thought we had it and that would have been the upset of the decade.

I really, really, really hope we upset FSU next year. I despise FSU, and I wlll be at that game. A Huskie victory would mean that I could die a happy man (after trash talking some Noles fans, of course)

Huskies are playing Duke in a game of football - not basketball.

As part of the Quick Lane bowl game swag, each player gets a life sized Fathead of themselves. That is pretty cool.

It's early but that Turnover stat is something I wouldn't have guessed. That being said, I imagine you want to be about in the 8-10 range.

We have an awesome women's basket ball coach and she has put together an awesome team. Long term, this gives me hope for the men's program as well.

That's a Dan Gilbert/Detroit thing. His co. owns Fathead.

His family of co's used to (might still) let kids of employees choose one for their birthday. Kid could fill a whole room, make a whole team.
