Back to name calling I see. Didnt learn your lesson on the "basket of deplorables"?
Keep it up.
It’s a true statement. Moore better represents Alabama than Jones.
Same could be said for most of the country. Very few states would enjoy being represented by a socialist.
Doug Jones is a socialist?

Democrat... socialist... they're becoming synonymous.

I know who loses, either way. Alabama.
Either they send a wacko to the senate, or they send a senator who is going to vote against the wishes of a majority of Alabamians. Either way is a loss for Alabama.

I understand why pummeling Roy Moore is more enjoyable for leftists than contemplating the worst politicization of intelligence, media and law enforcement scandal of the last 30 years. But if you fall into this group and you’re calling yourself a conservative, maybe reevaluate.

The only time that I have ever been accused of being a conservative was by flotus Hillary Clinton, when she declared that those who believed that her husband was a disgrace to the oval office were all just part of some "vast right-wing conspiracy". Which is why you may not care about my opinion.
But bear in mind that this core liberal has mostly voted Republican or Libertarian over the past two-plus decades. Although left-leaning on many issues, I have not totally lost my mind and am not anti-American -- two nasty traits that currently are infecting the progressive movement. Until the Democrat Party recovers its sanity, I likely will continue voting for and contributing to Republican or Libertarian candidates.
Which is one reason why you "true conservatives" may want to think twice before announcing that support for Roy Moore is a test of conservative purity. You may win this election, but you will do so to your own disgrace. And you will put yourselves one giant step closer to the absence of integrity that currently is a problem mostly for the progressives.
30-year old elected officials should not be hanging out at the local mall sniffing after teenage girls. That is, to most Americans, disqualifying behavior. Shame on those willing to overlook this point, simply because it is politically expedient.
I think Alabama is better that. At least I hope so.

Most fellow libertarians I know are open minded enough to see through the bull**** that this opposition operation has been shown to be.
I have no reason to believe any of it is true. For Christ’s sake the allegations levied by this all star gang of fibbers and white lie artists took place before most on this board were even born and 7 or 8 Moore election cycles prior to this one.
It’s all horseshit.

You may be right, in which case the character assassination of Roy Moore will have been a slander of historic proportions.
Possible, but I doubt it. There is enough stench surrounding him that I (if I were an Alabama voter) would not be able to bring myself to vote for him -- even if I had core concerns with the political leanings of Doug Jones.
If I am wrong in my suspicions regarding his personal character, then I hope that Roy Moore wins and is able to vindicate himself entirely. But if I am not wrong, it is the "true conservative" movement -- more than anyone else -- that ought to be the ones hoping that he loses, and loses badly.

What bothers me the most about this is the timing of it. As Rath mentioned, Roy Moore has been in politics for a long, long time.........never any mention of this stuff till 30 days before this election (to short at time frame to allow for ant sorting out) and surprise - it just happens to be "discovered" by a WaPo reporter and Gloria Allred gets involved, both total leftists.
.......40 year old allegations - we don't know if it's trumped up lies or there is some truth to them, but we do know where the allegations came from.........

He will win because it is a statewide election and Moore has a R next to his name on the ballot. It really is that simple.

And it would be the most epic troll job ever if he brought a gorgeous 18 year old girl up on stage with him at his victory speech tonight.

He wins comfortably. Why? Turnout.
Republicans will vote today.
White liberals will vote today.
Black voters won't vote today. This is not their issue. It is an off cycle election. They are working.
Moore wins it on turnout. Book it.

An Alabama senate race should not be a close contest. The fact that it is, is good news for Democrats. Roy Moore, if he wins, will become the 2nd most visible Republican in America.
Either way, this election is a big win for Democrats.

Ah yes, yet another loss is actually a win, you see?
It's only good news if you plan on spending 10x what you usually do (remember, you're broke) on every race, and think the amazon post will be able to dedicate 3 month's worth of fake news to framing every Republican in the country as a sexual predator.

Turnout is huge. Three lines of people, staged twice. Most I've ever seen.

in political terms, that's not an inaccurate statement at msm face value.....
however, let's see how this one plays out before pounding on the tom-toms.....
you might be surprised what will come out if Moore wins.....

If Jones wins Alabama will see it as stolen election. A democrat won't win again for 50 years
