Watching Army Navy game. Why have we not added Army yet? How about Air Force. Add them both and then use their leverage to pressure The powers to include AAC as power conference. Thoughts?

Yeah, if they wanted to be here, they would. Hopefully Navy continues to be successful and Army decides they want in.

As an ECU fan, I couldn't not imagine having to endure being trounced by 3 triple option teams every year. Navy is enough.

If adding Army will get us 10 million TV dollars per team each year then I say, welcome brethren.

If we get any raise by adding them, we should do it.

While it’s true Army didn’t want to come—i think that’s largely a reaction to thier terrible experience in CUSA. The Air Force and Navy track records are proving that the Academies can be successful in a G5 conference. If Army can continue fielding solid teams they may reconsider AAC membership. The reality is Army and the AAC would be excellent fits for one another.

Until Monken got to Army, Army gave it’s football players no special privileges. By this I mean Army players were required to do the same amount of PT and have essentially the same schedule that cadets who were not playing football. This created extra burdens for the Army players that Navy football did not have.

The new Army Commander at West Point changed the entire system to resemble What Navy did with it players. This change has paid off in a big way. Plus Monken understands the culture at West Point. Willing to bet Army will join AAC sooner rather than later as they desperately want to compete head on with Navy.

It was also their only time, they enjoy their independence.

Not to mention Army had a much tougher time recruiting in the height of OIF and OEF.
