Briles at Florida Atlantic

Did something happen at FAU since Saturday?

What do you mean?? Do you not think briles is a coach at Florida Atlantic?

Norvell would not coach at Tennessee. I don’t need a source. If you don’t like it, move on. Some of you guys need to stop hiding behind a computer and acting a fool. You wouldn’t talk to someone in person the way you’re acting behind the computer screen. Grow up!

Yeah let's hire the guy who asked a kid, "Do you like white women? We got a lot of them and they love football players."
He'd be a terrific hire.

Hmm maybe you don’t have an opinion on who to hire or you have reading comprehension problems or maybe you think somebody may attack your possible choice. Hey let’s go to church next Sunday and find our coach. You want to meet up at Lakewood or somewhere else?

Well, do they? Do we? Valid question.

Yes and yes. The problem is the quote came from a Title IX lawsuit that got daddy fired.

I don't know what that comment even means. All I'm pointing out is that anyone that tries to hire him is gonna have some serious ethical questions to answer. Those Title IX cases are gonna hang over Baylor and Coach Briles for a little while.

ah you were talking about his kid. not Art

I was. I doubt we would consider him but I do like him and think he’s done a good job at Baylor and FAU

By the way the second post was not directed towards you.

I figured as much. No worries.

Briles is already coaching so I guess his comments are ok by that school. I asked who would you hire not can you please direct and ridicule the four listed coaches below. I mean you could have brought up Sumlin, the Troy coach or anyone if you didn’t like the four I listed

But seriously Lakewood. I’m sure we can find a Deacon that will pan out nicely

It does bring about an interesting conversation about morality in college sports. We just saw what happened to Schiano. A fan base tried to use a hearsay allegation in a civil deposition to link a guy to the greatest scandal in sports history. And Art Briles is essentially black listed. Yet, one of them is still coaching.

I didn't ridicule any of your coaches. Just brought up a statement about one of them that would make them un-hireable if I was running it.

What is wrong with liking white women?

If you had been down at UCF this past Saturday, those young ladies like dressing down, so to speak. Lots of white women.

Again, nothing wrong with it. Just something wrong with where the quote came from. (The Title IX lawsuit)

So should he have asked "Do you like white or black women?" Or "Do you like white or black men?"

Right? I mean, men have an extra appendage and two testosterone factories betwixt their legs (HEY! "betwixt" didn't get auto corrected! It's a real word!), and it seems like this country is bound and determined to legislate or litigate it out/off of us.

Briles was asking that question to football recruits.

He was using it as a selling point for Baylor, a noted rape factory.

So should he have asked "Do you like white or black women?" Or "Do you like white or black men?"

When the broader allegation was that he and his father were fostering an atmosphere of sexual assault, it doesn't seem like a good thing to say. The lawsuit itself is a tough read.

17 women have come forward alleging sexual/domestic assaults from 19 players including 4 gang rapes. I dont want anyone associated with that program anywhere inside the state lines let alone at the university.

But like Tubby ball said, young Briles has a job, and the university did a nice job vetting him.

That Baylor thing is awful. 52 reported cases of rape and gang rape. Players video taping it and sending it around. Disgusting. Cases going two years without being investigated. Assistant coaches stifling accusers. It's as bad as it gets.
