Alabama Rant
Oh joy, Alabama is back in the college football playoff..... wish Wisconsin won to keep them out. They are getting in based off their years of history and dominance and potential tv ratings with a matchup with Clemson. Their schedule this year was garbage. Playing Mercer at the end of the year? Never playing an out of conference opponent on the road, always at a neutral site. They get away with a lot with their cupcake scheduling. Yea the SEC is strong but there’s also a lot of awful teams like Vanderbilt, Tennessee, and Kentucky.

RE: Alabama Rant
It’s not like Ohio St played an out of conference on the road, not even on a neutral site.

There’s no issue with the Mercer game. It’s not uncommon for teams to schedule cupcakes, just so happens Bama scheduled theirs towards the end of the season instead of at the beginning like most teams do.

Comes down to.... 2 losses (blowout to unranked team) to 1.

End of discussion: 2 losses (one which was a blowout to an unranked team and another by 15 points to OK) versus 1 loss to Auburn. Any other argument is just silly biased bs

No problem with Bama getting in. The Big Ten championship game last nite was in slow motion compared to the other big games yesterday. Not even close.

Hey I think they got it right, but I wish Wisconsin won so they wouldn’t get in. I’ve watched many of their games this year and they are not that great as in years past.

OSU shouldn't have been blown out and Wisconsin needs to play a better non conference schedule which they never will do.

I can't argue with this selection, but I really dislike it. I live in SEC country and their fans are insufferable. Worse than B1G by an order of magnitude. I also despise the ESPN/SEC business partnership lovefest.

Try not to lose by 5 TDs to Iowa if you wanT to get into playoff. Won't get into 2tds lose at home to OK

Totally disagree. Big 10 fans are terrible. Always been treated well by SEC fans.

I can't wrap my brain around how a team that wins their conference is bypassed for a team that did not.

When there only four spots available, it should be a requisite that winning a conference is part of the criteria. Yes, that limits each conference to only one team, however it seems ridiculous that the Pac 10 and Big 10 have no representative playing for all the marbles.

I thought it was ridiculous last year when Ohio State was selected for the playoff over the team that won the conference they played in.

The most talented teams are not always the best teams. The best teams win their conference.

I see in the near future that Power Conference champs get in automatically and 1 at large.
I think that would make 6 teams and get the politics out of it.

Five conference champs, the G5 representative, and two at-large bids. Eight team tourney.
