RE: LIBERTY BOWL - BEST BID WE’VE EVER RECEIVED
Think of all the traditional powers that have played in the past Liberty Bowl games. Even recently. Yes, this is the biggest/best bowl bid yet. And it sure beats the heck out of playing in the Hawaii Bowl or the Birmingham Bowl. We have lost money on every bowl we have played in. We WILL NOT lose money playing in the LB game and it will be against a good opponent. No downside at all. Other than it not being the Peach.

I agree. Playing the Longhorns would be epic.

But WVU will be a great game as well.

Looks like it's going to be Iowa State.

RE: LIBERTY BOWL - BEST BID WE’VE EVER RECEIVED
LB is a fantastic bowl, the Tigers and the LB are the sporting crown jewel's of our city; it is right and good that they be together, me and mine will be there!

Can't wait, best bowl we could have gotten. Media coverage alone for the next 4 weeks will be worth it. I expect this to positively affect every aspect of our program, school, community and marketing.

We heart, we fight, we are tigers!

Iowa st don't have the name recognition but every loss they had was real close...they are a good football team.

The Liberty Bowl is what is best for the school.

Players may have preferred to travel, some fans may have preferred to travel...But the payout is why we should be happy.

Yep and they gave the Oklahoma Sooners (which will be in the 4 team playoff) their only loss for the season!!

As far as tie-ins this was a good gift...1.4 million which is a middle of the road payout and a good p5 opponent.

Seems like Iowa St played in the LB a few years ago and brought a lot of fans. Would be a good game.

Where do you guys get this stuff? Where are you hearing ISU? And actually, where are you hearing Memphis - other than some speculation?

As far who we play? it'll be a mid big 12 opponent which will be a pretty good team.

Feel bad for the Big 12 defense that has to come in and play us at home.

It was confirmed a couple of days ago that the loser of UCF-Memphis would go to the Liberty and face a Big 12 team. It was TWEETED and EVERYTHING!

Will Liberty Bowl follow-thru with an invite if Norvell is not going to be there?
