In all seriousness, should we interview Lane Kiffin?

Yeah one was a scumbag in an irrelevant sport. The other isnt

Can't argue with cal being a scumbag but when he left it was a complete circus around this town.

No coach we hire is going to stick. Everybody has to get that in their head.

That’s the reality and financially situation we’re in. Until there’s an even playing field P5 schools will alway take Memphis UCF and other AAC coaches. It’s like taking candy away from a baby. It’s really that I easy unfortunate

I think the difference is more that Cal either stole or broke up that amazing recruiting class that we were supposed to get (Wall, Henry, Cousins). Next years players should stay in tact regardless if Norvell leaves or not.

If he does decide on Arkansas I wish him luck. It sucks, but that’s what comes when we’re successful. Only successful guy that didn’t leave us was Tommy.

I'm not opposed to it. He may be able to lure some of those Ole Miss guys to the team...

I'm sure it is. I've been following them on this for about an hour and a half.

RE: Norvell on a plane to Fayetteville
In many ways.

If this all means something, and it may not...Arkansas now is the 8th best team in the SEC and has realistic expectations of remaining there with the occasional higher finish.

Historically they have some panache but woefully behind the biggest colllege football powers. USC, Notre Dame, Michigan, Ohio State, Penn State, Alabama, LSU, Tennessee, Auburn, Texas, Florida State, Clemson, Miami, A and M etc...all ahead.

We had a really good season.

Memphis basketball had been through four really good seasons. Three of which were national title contending teams, arguably all four.

While disgusting, KY, who was down at that time, is clearly one of the all time programs so heading there was heading to a different level than a modest SEC school like Arkansas.

Becaus of that, I would hold out for better but that is a beaten horse by now.

Sounds like it's up to Malzahn and then Norvell is plan B.

Really, really hope Gus goes to Arkansas. While we have momentum, it's difficult to turn the trick 3 times in a row. If Gus goes, I highly doubt that Norvell goes to Auburn or Florida State or VTech.

If Gus goes to Arkansas, I think we can keep CMN for another 2-3 years.

Also, they have sent someone to recon the airport to see who it is on the plane. If the guy had a sense of humor, he should tell everyone its Chad Morris.

Guys, it's over. They referenced this thread, saying that Norvell is on the plane. Here all along I thought we were basing everything off of there forum.

Interesting reading though. Some drunk guy is driving to the airport to see if it is actually true.

Word should leak shortly, if accurate. The players, at some point, will be told.

73, 85, 08.... 06?

86 was title contender but was upset.
92 had title contending talent.
95 was stacked and would have made Final Four if not for the phantom foul call.
07 was elite eight but overachieved.
