RE: MBB vs UTRGV
Malik comes in to provide an offensive spark to close gap to 21-18.

No Lapray in the box score?

Zone really struggling on the perimeter. Corner 3 is open on basically every UTRGV possession.

RE: MBB vs UTRGV
Scoring drought by UTRGV in last 4:49 allows Owls to go up 36-32. ESPN tracker stuck at 0:01 to play in 1H.

Owls scoring drought allows UTRGV to go back up 56-50 with about 10 minutes to play.

RE: MBB vs UTRGV
Owls lose 69-67. Had several chances late to tie or take the lead.

Would have been nice to have Lapray's shooting in this one. Any word on why he didn't play?

Yikes. I had to Google who UTRGV was... we shouldn't be losing to a school that was officially formed less than 5 years ago

They actually have more basketball history than Rice, as they used to be Pan American- NAIA Championship when NAIA was still something. Luke Jackson and Otto Moore played there, Texas stole their coach, Abe Lemons, who had so much success Daryl Royal had him run off.
Still should not lose to them.

Lapray had a concussion in practice. He probably would have been the difference in the game.

Connorer’s shoulder still seems to be limiting him. Good minutes again by Dylan Jones.
