UC is maybe the third best program in this conference.

Absolutely, incredibly bad.

I was going to comment on the Cincy game, but the Shox have a road challenge themselves.

Xavier is very good at running their layup drills.

We don't lose because of refs, because our schedule was weaker heading into the game, because one coach adjusts and the other doesnt, etc.

We lose because in this game, XU shoots out of their minds.

case in point:

First half:
UC: 40% FG
XU: 59% FG

3pt:
UC: 22% FG
XU: 70% FG (8 for 12)

They shoot at an NBA clip vs UC...esp at home.

And they do always have some chump step up with the game of his life. This year its Kanter.

But anyway, this is why we lose to XU. All the other 'reasons' listed are just noise.

Last year, we hit shots and won.

If sympathy is your goal you almost have me. Whether Xavier is a Top 5 team (they certainly look it today), lucky, Cincinnati is bad or a combination of all three, Cincinnati does not look very good today so far.

I'm still rooting for you and hope you come back to win or at least make it closer. The Shox play a good team too and could get blown out. I'm hoping that doesn't happen. Good Luck the final 9 minutes. I know you won't give up.

UC showing some life. Cumberland has come alive and they have cut it to 14 points.

RE: 12/2 AAC Basketball Games
XU doesn't lose at the Cintas center. They are almost unbeatable there. And against UC its even more so. It is what it is. I had XU winning this game.

People that had UC winning either don't understand how good XU is at home (and esp vs UC) or they were doing a major homer pick.

I did think the game would be close...the blowout has caught me off guard. But I had this as a loss at the end of the day.

Temple and Xavier were together in the A10 for many years. We typically beat them home and away.

Rivalry games can yield atypical results. UC will be fine.

Agreed. Will be more interested to see how UC looks vs. UF and UCLA.

Seeing UC being dominated in all aspects of the game is strange though. Only thing UC is doing better is X has way more turnovers.

Mick Cronin is not an "alpha" guy.

Clear peckng order:
Wichita State
SMU
... Maybe UC...but UConn or Memphis.

Don't expect anything out of Mick Cronin and you won't be disappointed.

LOL. UCONN and Memphis are competing for maybe 7th. Temple is probably right under WSU.

One rivalry game does not a season make. There are few teams in the country that will win on Xavier's home floor, especially in a rivalry game.

It’s early yet my friend. Temple started hot last year with two top 25 wins. This years team seems more determined, mature and hungry, but we need to see sustained success first. Big test next week vs Wiscy at home.

Was the Baylor team picking up trash on the side of the highway right before this game?

RE: 12/2 AAC Basketball Games
Cronin got into a verbal altercation with a Xavier player after the game. Apparently a Xavier player told Cronin to suck his **** and Cronin had to be held back.

Everything I expect/hope for in this annual hateful event.
