There were lesser charges including Manslaughter and this was not a accident. It was not premeditated but a accident is slipping and falling while running. Something unavoidable. Common sense tells you not to put your finger by the trigger of a loaded gun..unless you intent to fire it. Other wise there's no reason.

Once that gun fires a bullet you should be held responsible for who it hits. Even if you had no intention of killing someone.

I believe it's a 10-15-year mandatory minimum with 2 convictions

that was the most egregious case of jury nullification imaginable. the unfortunate truth is that the steinle family won't be able to get justice in any criminal or civil court in san francisco. that place is too far gone. and that means that the law has utterly broken down in that hell hole.
