How sad is it that we are worried about having a losing record ?

I guess it depends a lot on how the team improves over the season.

Agee, but at least the facts point to better prospects of a winning season and it is a good development, IMO.

Really. I'll tell you one ramification. When those three freshmen, who logged more minutes and a couple of whom seemed to finally wake up, are upperclassmen, we might actually be pretty good. We just need to sign a few more like them next time. And if Azab is at least as good as Chad, this team may win a few more that nobody (including me) expected.

We just need to sign a few more like them next time. And if Azab is at least as good as Chad, this team may win a few more that nobody (including me) expected.

I’d like to develop these players. Give them an opportunity to see which ones can contribute. Add a good 2018 and compete at a high level next year.

We’ll see how this class shapes up. He still needs Harris and another good recruit.

Been saying all along this is a 20 win schedule. People are hyping themselves up about a win over Northern KY.... Northern KY is not a good team.

I don't know what is going on at practice but Tubby needs to change the starting lineup and stop giving headstarts

If Parks is working the other guys at practice eventually he has to realize that doesn't translate to games

And Martin needs to start trusting his teammates more

He’s trying to go big but our bigs are just not skilled. Especially against a team like they played last night where their Big can play on the perimeter.

Yeah, the guy from Southern Illinois does that -- predicts half a dozen more wins than anyone in the media. Then he can trash the coach for not achieving his numbers, or, if he's ever right, he can claim to be a basketball guru.

No 8th place or below team in the American has ever had better than a .500 record, and we were picked to finish below that by everyone, as far as I can remember.

Dude, you are unbelievably negative. No one is acting like we beat Duke, but they did come back from a 16 point deficit and beat a team that made the NCAA tourney. It’s better than losing!

We’ve played a weak schedule for years. You act like it’s something new.

You are totally right about the freshmen. The more they play the better off tomorrow is. Anyone that knows basketball should be able to see what Nickleberry and Johnson can be when they are juniors. I’d start Nickleberry. Sit Parks <—— 450Bench’s favorite ). Try to get Brewton’s confidence up. Continue to play Johnson and Victor Enoh big minutes. The more those thee freshmen play the quicker they will become heavy contributors.

Just because they don't have a known brand, it doesn't mean it wasn't a good win. Yesterday was a really good win, especially at this time of the year.

He’s raw with a lot of upside. Also, other than Davenport and Rivers, we don’t have any other decent bigs. Those two reasons are why I would play him. Azab is an unknown at this point.

He is very physcally mature for a freshman. He looks like he can lift a small car for a tire change.
