Instead of Southern Miss vs Marshall? No offense to UTSA and LT but Southern Miss/Marshall is a much better product featuring more well-known names who have better records. UTSA/LT needs to be on Stadium while USM/Marshall is on ESPNU. I don't get it.

Cause Marshall sucked last year and UTSA and La Tech were predicted to be at the top of the western division. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

This was lined up early in the year with the idea that this game would be for the West Division title. Not sure how much flexibility they have for changing their schedule. To the casual observer there's likely no difference between UTSA vs. LaTach and USM vs. Marshall.

If schedule makers could see the future, they wouldn't be schedule makers...

If you're ESPN, and you're going to schedule a CUSA game the last weekend, why the hell aren't you going with some type of flex schedule???

So another one of your competitors (CBSSports, Stadium) don't take it. ESPN gets first pick so they want to get the games that have the highest potential to be good. If they let it sit someone else might take it.

I believe it was just announced that this game would be on ESPNU like two weeks ago. It's not a horrible game. Two teams with similar records playing for bowl eligibility.

Nobody cares about Mississippi Southern and UM.

It really doesn't matter. Most people who aren't CUSA fans are going to be watching something else. Notre Dame/Stanford, Washington/Washington State, Clemson/South Carolina, LSU A&M/Texas A&M.

My only guess would be ESPN is trying to showcase the premier university of CUSA, Louisiana Tech.

Sorry, I know I'm being salty here but I'm just over this terrible tv deal CUSA has by our terrible commish. She needs to go. There are so many WTF decisions she's made over the years.

But this game was always on the schedule since the spring as on an ESPN network. Not sure it would have changed the network or kickoff time even if the teams had better records coming in.

Yea, very long way to go. Our facilities suck and so far, we're a bunch of pretenders that can't handle expectations it seems (see 2014 as well). This new AD better work her magic. I hope we don't go to a bowl cause we don't deserve it having Marshall as our only quality win.
