AState Board Approves football rennovations
You know the one where we put a gigantic waterfall in the end zone and App fans made fun of us? That's the one.

Construction begins immediately, so the school can get it done as fast as possible, as we're selling the area as "premium seating". As such, there will not be end zone seating available for the Troy game on Dec 2nd. (About 3K less tickets can be sold) School decided it's not a big deal overall because we're not expected to have much of a crowd for Troy unless the Trojans bring a lot of people or something crazy.

Because it is going to be a 6:30 kickoff on December 2 in the freezing cold to watch a team that is likely playing for just a share of the title.

"Just a share". It's not about what you'll get if you win, it's about what you won't get if you lose. A title is on the line, shared or not. It's an end of the season Conference Championship game between the league's two best teams.

Dec 2nd. Night kickoff likely national tv. Fan base that is still unhappy with teams play.

Most will stay home and watch on tv

We've had good crowds for those against MTSU and Louisiana before. But this has been a weird year due to the loss of the Miami game and then the failure against USA. The fan base just never really got rolling this year.

SBC & ESPN are waiting until after this weekend to decide whether Troy at stAte or UL at App get a late kickoff and ESPN2.

If App loses to GSU, I'm sure it will be stAte. If stAte loses to ULM, it would prob be App. If both win, who knows.

Never underestimate the #Funbelt. It's been a wacky year.

We host USF in MBB on the 2nd at 7. That game would likely be moved earlier if we are chosen for the 7:30 espn2 slot. Can’t imagine the Cajuns would want any part of a night game in December. Truth be told I don’t either but understand why.

$29 million for End Zone project within a week of approval for new Convention Center and hotel on campus. Building quite an impressive complex on campus. People will stop doubting our leadership eventually.

We're playing a team we beat 35-3 at their house the previous year.

If weather cooperates and the conf. Championship is on the line, I expect a decent crowd. Maybe not a sell out, but 23k or so

There is nothing in our history that says we'll have any sort of a crowd for this. I know we had a great crowd for the MTSU game years ago, but this isn't MTSU, and Gus Malzahn is not the coach.
