I don’t like reporting this but the VolsQuest board is saying that Norvell is the number 2 pick behind John G and that Norvells people have been contacted and said they have interest. I sure hope this is fake news!! Couldn’t get the link to post.

Jimmy will use them to drive up the price Norvell gets elsewhere.

Somebody has to tell me why they want Gruden so bad. The guy hasn't coached in ten years. Hasn't coached in college since 89' I believe. Why would he wanna come back and be the coach, recruiter, ambassador, give the speech to the incoming freshman class, go to media day, etc. etc?

IMO, If they hire Gruden as their football coach, they will fall further down....But they will win the press conference.

Former player and alum, Jim Bob Cooter seems to be a perfect fit...

Would they really go non-P5 for a 3rd coach in a row after the Dooley and Butch debacles? At the end of the day, Florida will hire a better coach than TN will. Kirby already has GA rolling so 3rd in the east is the best they can hope for with no chance of winning the SEC as long as Saban is in T-town (with Dabo probably being his successor one day). So its a UT, Auburn, LSU battle annually for 4th in the SEC.

Auburn has been left for 4th place at least three times in the last six years and somehow, they always keep coming back.
