RE: Nice article on Tubby
The next great Tubby article will be the one covering his resignation or termination.

Going to have to agree with you on that assessment. I don't plan on reading any articles about Tubby until it's about Memphis getting rid of him.

Sounds like he'd make a great athletics director.

Interesting. I'm not so sure. You have to be part shrewd, part mean, part smoozer to be an AD.

Nobody grows up wanting to be an AD. just sayin.

Tubby is more of a snoozer than a smoozer.

Eh, I think he'd do pretty well as an AD.

For now he's the head men's bb coach so we have to see how that works out first.

I'm sorry that there have to be posters like you on a Memphis Tiger message board. If I were in charge, you would both be banned forever starting now.

I think the quote from Tubby Smith's brother in the article says it all:

That’s for sure,” O’Day Smith said. “But I knew he was going to be good and he knew what he was doing because he lived and breathed basketball. He just wanted it done right and he wanted it done his way. If you do it his way, and it takes you awhile to learn that, it’ll work if you just do it the way he says to do it.”

I have a open mind, unlike some of you. I will give our coach and team my 100% support until they prove that they are not worthy of my backing.

Why would you want to ban him? Bc he has a differing opinion? Kinda bogus reason to ban someone and I doubt the mods are that petty. Dealt w bench before and hes a good guy, stuck on the phrase "then why play the games" but still a good dude ?

lol. We are all a bit like dogs....

We can bark all night
at what we don't like
but we can't look away.

But what if there was only one opinion allowed here?

We should first have a poll as to which opinion gets to stay.

"I have an open mind unlike some of you."

Someone who wants people banned for differing opinions said that

The grasping of that sentence goes beyond the capabilities of me poor battered psyche.
