I think this weeks game will be a very good game. I was at the Army/EMU game last weekend, and neither team could stop the others offense. Would have had a lot more points scored, except Armys offense never passes, and quarters seem to take about 17 minutes in real time. EMU passed the ball at will against Army's defense. Game would have gone to OT, but EMU went for two and the win.
WMU can win this game, but they wont if they continue to adhere to the same philosophies, strategies and game planning that they have. Lester is entitled to a learning curve, but he needs to actually "learn" from the mistakes, correct them, and be better as a result. If he doesnt take advantage of what we have with this team it will be his own fault. Games are getting tougher, because the teams we are going to be playing are going to be better. At the beginning of the season I wouldnt have thought it possible for us to lose to Akron, Kent or CMU. We all know that we can lose to those teams now; and it isnt because those teams a good (or even average).

Go ahead and look for a post where I said we should get a pass for losing to Akron.
I'll wait.
Those of you arguing that fans are happy to be "mediocre again" is nonsense. We've only had 1 year in the 18 that i've followed the team where we weren't mediocre or worse and that was last year. I'd be just as pissed as you if we fell back to winning 7-8 games a year and not making the MACC game. It's going to happen from time to time but it should be the norm.

Some of you guys are in the Stadium Dr bubble. Upsets aren't going away in College Football. We layed a egg Sunday in many ways. This Saturday more D1 teams will lay eggs. Lester indicated in presser EMU is best 2-4 team in the country. Look at their schedule, we have our hands full this week after what happened Sunday.
Missing the point again. I'm looking at the body of work through 7 games, you're looking at just 1 game because it turned up in the loss column.

I don't understand how you can lose a game and say "we should have won by 30".
You might be able to watch the replay on wmubroncos.com. We should have won by 30.
Could have seen this coming... Toledo is a MUCH more balanced offense right now than we are... I have a feeling we are going to see EMU do pretty much to us what Toledo is doing to Akron right now...
