Auburn Men's bb program was one of the 1st 4 programs with an assistant coach named in the FBI's initial investigation report.

They have a sub-500 cumulative record over the past 3 years.

I'd hate to think that a program is on the verge of major sanctions, and has no NCAA bids to show for it.

I think he'll be the next coach fired, probably sooner than later. He's not getting it done; why keep him around now that this has broken?

As a former advocate for hiring Pearl, I now admit my wrongdoing. I hated him at UT, and I should have maintained that hatred. But, desperate times called for desperate measures. In the end, this one seems to have worked out for the best. The shiny Pearl was actually just a worthless piece of crap...

Auburn is paying Kentucky's penalty, much the same way Cleveland State paid UNLV's back in the '80's.

I too was in the BP crowd. There is still a very slim chance he 'didn't know' what was happening, lol but we all know that he knows exactly what was going on.

I'd like to see North Carolina and Kentucky get some of this on them and Duke too while we're at it.........

Any coach who secretly records a 17 year old recruit - as then Iowa assistant coach Pearl did to Deon Thomas when Thomas committed to Illinois - so that coach can turn in the school who beat him for that recruit, is a special kind of scumbag. Nothing Pearl does would surprise me.
