Lester wrote letters to every member of the BMB
I'm assuming to the dance and cheer teams as well based on the content of the letter:
[Insert name here]
I hope that your semester is off to an awesome start! As we prepare for our 1st home game vs. Idaho, I wanted to make sure to drop you a quick note if thank you for all you do for Bronco Nation.
As a WMU Alumni, nothing gets me going on gameday more than hearing our band and seeing our cheer and dance teams perform in front of a packed Waldo Stadium.
You are the heart and soul of gameday at Western and we are lucky to have you behind us. Always remember… we will reign!
Let's ride,
Tim Lester.

The BMB is so much a part of the experience watching Bronco football. No other marching band in the MAC comes close, IMO.

I don't mind it... it's entertaining. He's the Skip Bayless of our board here. Drives discussion and readership! Way better than DB was... that guy can fall in a volcano as far as I'm concerened...

What's sad is how easily I can trigger the Fleckies.
It's not like Fleck took the DJ with him. Can't be Fleck's and Lester's generational differences, they're close in age. So why isn't he back rhyming at Waldo?

How the Fleck did you turn this into a PJ thing AGAIN?!?!?!? Cheeze and Rice, Dip... Seriously, Kellyanne Conway-level spin-game...right back on message. It's a skill...

RE: Lester wrote letters to every member of the BMB
Was at the MSU game and it was very pro like. Tremendous amount of very loud music, personally I thought it was dangerously close to interfering on third down plays. Pre-game, it was very loud, very hard rock. They let the the bands do their thing, but clearly, the college game today is not gonna stand on the band alone. A good combination is the trend and let's face it, the Peej brought us there, and certainly his charisma, you have to figure, had a big role in the video screens that make it look big time in a small time environment. Again, nothing is black and white. He had/has his flaws, but as Gary Darnell told me one time, you know "your strength is your weakness...."

As a band alum, i appreciate the canned music. Having to play every single break is exhausting, and you have nothing left by the end of the game, leading to a poor sound within the band. Those breaks are much appreciated.

Not if you were in the drumline...we like to play :)
Ask me sometime about the Kalamazoo Holiday Parade circa 1996 or "Southside Cadence" v. BSU 1992.

I am so glad that Coach Lester recognized the band members in such a personal manner.
The band puts so much time and effort into their program and represents another quality of WMU.
It is great that they are appreciated by the coach and the players.
Thanks to the Dance Team and Cheerleaders as well.
Now......LET'S RIDE.
