Discussion Monday: Your Biggest Takeaway from Week 2 & Bold Prediction for Week 3
Biggest Takeaway: Can't help but think this might be a down year for the league; both Georgia schools have suffered upsets against FCS foes and the biggest OOC wins for the league right now have come from soon to be booted NMSU and the youngbloods Coastal Carolina. With that said still plenty of opportunities this week and week 4 to boost up the non conference win totals

My Bold Prediction for Week 3: New Mexico State knocks off Troy in Las Cruces in a thrilling, last second victory.

My biggest take away is we have played two games that realistically, we were never expected to win. We have a chance the next three weeks to go 3-0 and go into Troy with a 3-2 record.

But it starts with a win at home against Alabama A&M this weekend. So we get our chance at an FCS, I hope we are better then neighbors in Georgia at this game.

Poor red zone play by the Aggie's and stellar Troy red zone defense has been our saving grace the past couple of seasons...Should be another good game.

Two programs will be conducting coaching searches in the offseason.

Our defense has made drastic improvement in the front 7. We might be competitive this year. I think we stay within 17 of APP.

I honestly don't know what to expect from them in conference play. They beat a good UNM team last year and won 2 conference games.

Tough to say. The win against UNM last year was a come from behind miracle at home, where they were chasing all game. This season they beat UNM on the road and for the first 3 quarters absolutely dominated the Lobos, forcing them to be the ones that had to come back. They almost pulled it off, but didn't quite do it.

I will say defensively we are much better than I can remember in recent memory. If we can put together a full 4 quarters we are going to be scary this season. Our red zone offense is also vastly improved this season.

Bold Prediction: NMSU beats Troy in their home opener in front of a pumped up crowd of 25k by 14 points.

Georgia beating Notre Dame in week 2 for me proved they are the real deal, which changes my opinion of App's performance in week 1 against them. I think App will have 1 more loss in the season but it will most likely be Wake Forest. Bold prediction: App wins conference, finishes with 2 losses, and wins another Camellia bowl

How anyone could watch the Georgia game and not been impressed with the Dawgs is beyond me. Ga is a favorite to win the SEC East and recruits some of the best players in the country. App was playing w/o 3 of our top 4 receivers going up against one of the best run defenses in the country, yet some of our fans complained about our ineffective offense. I swear it seems some App fans are obsessed with if we don't play a P5 to within a few points it's on us and don't give the other team credit.

UGA looks pretty impressive... they will be really good once their true freshman QB gets more reps in that offense. Some of this deep throws were only a few steps off.

My biggest takeaway is how much GS is struggling. I dismissed the Auburn loss but never would have thought they would get beat by UNH. Summers has to be on the hottest seat by far.

I too think NMSU beats Troy and as a homer think TXST gives App a run for their money.

Unless Fromm gets hurt, imo, Eason will never start another game at Georgia. Our defensive staff said GA's game plan changed dramatically once Fromm went into the game. After the game GA's staff said Fromm knew about 20% of the playbook. They changed from deep shots to quick short routes. It was completely different than anything we game planned for.

I'm surprised Summers wasn't chased out of Statesboro on Sunday. He's probably on the shortest leash of any FBS head coach.

900,000 reasons why he was not chased out. Easily dead man walking right now.

My biggest takeaway is how awful GaSo's offense has been. Even in their few down years they have usually been able to run the ball. For UNH to hold them to such low rushing and offensive numbers was shocking to me. I'm also disappointed in the overall performance of the Belt as I thought it would be much improved. Still time to win some big OOC games but the start hasn't been good.

My week three prediction is that both Troy and App will come out firing against improved NMSU and TSU teams on the road. NMSU could be the surprise of the conference as could CCU.

Him and Hudspeth must be in a race. Hudspeth may not make the end of the year.

Did one of your QB's leave the team?
