depends on if yo u assume law enforcement is racist or not. Seeing as how the Miami-Dade police department is less than 21% white, the answer probably isn't what you want it to be.
I'm not assuming anything. I'm simply presenting what people might be thinking when they see something like what law enforcement posted.
You asked and either-or question, both making separate assumptions. Logic dictates that you subscribe to one of the two choices.
My first thought was " I bet every one of these thugs have priors." My second thought was "Should have waited until night". Third thought was "f*ucking idiots".
I had all of those thoughts but I also thought, "What? Only black people loot"?
We have to be more mindful of what we present and consider how some people are going to perceive what they see.
So be damned the facts. This shouldn't have been posted because there weren't any white people looting in the picture. That's what you are saying isn't it?

I'm pretty sure the Miami PD presented what they wanted to present. Criminal caught and locked up. Evidently they don't view things through the same racial lenses that you do.

That's bad reporting. I consider both of those "finding". If you have issue, take it up with the Agence France-Presse and AP. There is a difference in scavenging for food in the days after a storm and massive flood and lifting a pair of Nike's before landfall.

That is a fair point. I posted this however to show that there is some precedent for this kind of stuff. It's not just coming out of thin air.
When it's happened before, people become more hyper sensitive to it.

Good grief, the depths you'll go to.
This was these nine specific people caught on camera by a local news station that was out filming the storm and flooding. These people decided to help themselves to someone else's schit (expensive nike shoes). Cops took a picture of the thieves and said don't do it, we'll catch you. Stay inside, off the streets. No where did anyone say "All you black people stay inside", or anything of the sort. My gosh.

Would not put it pass CNN to do just that. I could easily see them renting a store front painting it up and putting a few signs on it. Then use or pay people to fake it. Making sure everything was covered but some white skin. Can't have people actually arrested or it falls apart.
How many other things has CNN been caught faking. Just image how many they got away with.
