The difference between them and ECU? They were winners.
They may have a great season, but they're starting 0-1.
I'm prepared to admit I was wrong (both here and on their message boards), but I won't be.
JMU wins and will score more than 21 points. Book it.
My lord... you people are too much. Is it a lack of football knowledge? Or is it some sort of FCS Napoleon complex? Either way, it's pretty stunning to watch. Y'all have created quite the bubble to be popped.

It's going to be rrrrrrrrrreally difficult not to come rub your noses in this after you lose on Saturday. But I promise I'll try not to.
As long as you come eat crow if you lose. This game is a toss up on paper.

Random note but there was about 5 seconds of this speech i saw this morning in an ESPN promo for college football starting. It was mixed in with a bunch of P5 coaches and highlights.

Delusional is thinking a 3 win FBS team (2 win if you don't use Western Carolina as a quality win) is going to beat an FCS national champion.
Hate to break it to you, but FCS football is not Div II. Do you watch football aside from your own team? Are you aware that FCS teams defeating FBS teams is nothing new? Ask NDSU if they felt like an underdog playing Iowa last year. By the way NDSU won the title the year before.
And here we are the champions and you think we're afraid to play a 3 win team. Please.
You may be the better team, but I seriously doubt that. And if you do, I'll admit it. But I promise you this.... you won't see me bragging on your boards when we win. Why? Because I don't need to.
But if stroking your ego makes you feel better, please feel free to brag on beating a nobody FCS program.

So it's delusional for us to think we will win but it's practical for you to think you will win? This is what I was referring to in an earlier post. Some of you JMU fans are just looking at the record thinking that there is no way you can lose. Yes we know you are fcs and you won a championship and we know that fcs teams have beat fbs teams. But you seriously need to do some research and think rationally about this game.

Brother, I've been all over your boards and that is the exact same thing with your posters. That's how home boards are.

That's no doubt. So some of your fans really need to stop acting like the victims.

ECU looked really bad tonight on offense. We got what we expected from their soft defense, but the offense was nothing close to last year. It is apparent Coach Montgomery made a huge mistake naming Grinshew the starter in camp. He should go with Sirk the remainder of the year and ride his dual threat ability.
JMU did a great job not giving him running yards but a lot of that was due to ECU being down and turning its playbook into "chuck it up for grabs" and get P.I. Penalties.
Big betting winners to the Dukes and the Under. Neither was close

Actually, I think our D just played lights out. Other than the PI penalties (some were likely legit and some weren't), the defense darn near pitched a complete shutout.
ECU had some good passes, but it seemed we really stuffed their run game. I won't be surprised if we completely shut down a lot of schools this year. Our offense is good, and the D may be even better!
