One last thing. I took my wife to the game. On the way home I said "you looked bored the whole game". She said "so was everybody else in the stadium".

Anyone who was fortunate enough to attend:
How was the band?
How was the scoreboard and sound?

Looks like it's going to take longer to wash the Tubs off, but there are going to be bumps and bruises in a new head coaches first year.
I think the offensive playcalling was mediocre at best. Moore's floor and ceiling are becoming clearer and clearer. O-line is below average. But hey, first game in a new offense, so it'll get better.
Perry Young, Jaylyin Minor, and Joel Dublanko impressed me. Coleman... One more year... I thought the D-line had it's moments, but it should've domimated.
The crowd was a f*cking embarrassment. Nothing changes, so not sure why I get so worked up over it. Way to welcome the new coach. Way to impress recruits and conferences. The students did their part though so props to them. I don't even want to know what the number was... it'll just make me even more livid. I mean sh!t, I can deal with a sub par performance given the circumstances, but fan support continues to be something we should omit from our portfolio. People b!tch about our "G5" conference and our "G5" conference mates, and our "G5" t.v. deal, well, we sure are blending right the f*ck in.
Yep. All the excuses about the neighborhood (crime), parking, bathrooms and concessions is now pretty much out the window now that FCC is drawing 30-35K for minor league soccer on weeknights.
We just don't have a culture/the "Know-how" in this community of supporting college football.
Coreyville looks like San Francisco. Amazing
Lol.

RE: It's GAME DAY!!! (vs. Austin Peay)
I am searching for positive things and I found these:
1. I don't think anyone got hurt
2. The band was modern. Dr. Terren L Frenz was standing in the front of my Club Seat area watching a band not play Benny Goodman or Glenn Miller. He applauded.
I could not even tell that other coach was gone based on:
1. Horrible Special Teams - missed PAT and FG
2. Not getting off on 3rd downs
3. Dumb penalties
Being outplayed by a team that had lost 27 straight game. BAD!

The band sounded awesome at pregame and halftime IMO. People seemed to enjoy the current pop music, though I couldn't see most of the crowd reaction from where I was.
Scoreboard was out of this world. They had a graphic for each starting player as they were announced before the game. Video quality was great. Sound quality was a bit better, but never cut out (which is a big improvement).

Band was noticeably better, though not something I'd ever get excited about.
Scoreboard was a YUGE improvement in clarity, though my angle wasn't the best. To me, the biggest improvement was in the PA. Though it wasn't very loud, I could actually understand what the announcer was saying.

RE: It's GAME DAY!!! (vs. Austin Peay)
On a positive note...fan who attempted the FG to win $ from Wyler made his FG!
Guy in our section asked his GF to marry him during the 3rd quarter and she said yes!
Man was that game boring. Stadium was about 1/2 full. Lines for concessions and bathrooms were great.
Was hoping (against hope) that IU might pull off a miracle...but nope tOSU wins.
Glad tomorrow is friday.

LOL if Boone played for AP he would have 200 yards rushing. Guessing AP had 2 times more on the ground. This O line is trash, when I saw Stuer run out on the field I knew it was going to be bad. It is going to be a LONG season in the wrong way.
Believe me Fly, I'm not doing back flips on the overall team performance. I admit it. I'm a Boone fan. He ended up with 100 yards on 19 attempts for about 5.3 yards per pop. I'll take that if he can average that over the course of the season with about 20 touches per game. It is Austin Puke but this team is a work in progress and they have to keep grinding out the running game. I believe it will get better as the season goes along except next week...
2 25 yard runs against a bad team, and nothing inside. Everything else was nada.
LOL. Well, I'm glad he got those two 25 yarders or you would have him benched.
Yeah in spite of the oline.

He is an inspirational young man.
Looked like the entire men's basketball team was in attendance. Nice to see te teams support each other. Hoping UC does something bigger and splashier to launch the basketball season. Think the Bball Cats have the pieces to be a pretty special team.

I know it's hard to see from high up in your ivory tower section, but he did the post-game press conference.

RE: It's GAME DAY!!! (vs. Austin Peay)
In prior years when we struggled in our opener against an FCS team it was an omen of a bad year to come.
IMO it is going to be a very long year.
I have no idea what the biggest problem is because there are so many. IMO Moore is not an accurate passer.
As noted up board he never went deep.
I have wondered if CTT was a lousy coach or a lousy recruiter. I think he was both. I saw little better tonight than the crap I watched last year - and even with Gantz we miss extra points. Perhaps we will be UConn - but who else?

Nice scoreboard. But I think they made the sound system worse. Could not hear anything called by the referee. The PA guy was muffled. And any video sound from the new board was inaudible.

Agreed on all the above. Major complaint about scoreboard was never showing number of team timeouts?
The Band? Improved, rotating box during pregame still sucks!!!!! Would it hurt to play at least one song and formation at halftime to the East stands? After all the east side has the bigger portion of the attendance! I don't know whether the big cloud hanging off to the west, the band or whatever, but the timing of the pre-game was all messed up. Skydivers having to pinpoint landings in 1/4 of the field, team entering field before video was through. Something was off? Band on the field before ending of 1st half, chased off. It was confusing about how much time was left, so I'll give them a break on that.
