RE: Hurricane Harvey
Has anyone heard of a body count yet? This article says two dead but I haven't heard anyone reporting an actual death toll as of yet.

Anyway we're handling it and the awesome news for us is the Brazos River crest projection levels have been lowered! The roads are clear to get back to my house and if the river projections remain the same the rest of the day, I may go back to my house later tonight. We haven't had any flooding in our neighborhood despite the significant rain.

Good news.

14, but that probably isn't accurate. They won't know for weeks.

Latest I heard was 9, 6 of whom were a family swept with their SUV into Green's Bayou in NE Houston. 1 was in Rockport near landfall.

RE: Hurricane Harvey
As for evacuations, most people just called 911. My parents did. Now my sister had heard they just dropped you off at high ground with 911. So I called Brazoria County Emergency Services to make sure they got taken care of. I also wanted to notify them that there was flooding in that subdivision because it is a senior's community and there were probably many, some with limited mobility, who needed to be evacuated. And its not someplace that has had floods get into the houses before that I am aware of. It had to be 4 or 5 feet above street level at my parent's house to flood. I only had to hold for 5 minutes, so I got through pretty easily. And that was after they already had called for a mandatory evacuation earlier that day for the southwest quarter of the county. They did get moved to a temporary spot when they got evacuated, but got moved to an official shelter about an hour or two later.

I'm not a fan of his by any means, but I heard a day before everyone started attacking him that the church was flooded. Knowing the old Summit, it probably was flooded early and often. Sounds like Lakewood Derangement Syndrome.

It was a full-on assault by verified alt-leftists on Twitter. Took all of one day for them to go from "come together" back to their usual, just vile hatred. I'm no fan of Osteen, but it was a disgusting display. If they FEEL (and their feelings are based on absolutely zero facts) you don't do enough, they unleash their feral, unhinged mob on you.

I saw a string of tweets from a woman that lived near Lakewood, and she said that although the church didn't appear to be flooded, all the highways that surround it were. They never once stopped to think that even if he wanted to open it, there were specific reasons as to why he couldn't. They just immediately jump to conclusions, and attack.
Isn't Osteen a lefty too?

Not sure. The same mob of verified alt-leftists were praising Mattress Mack, though. Someone should let them know that he's a tea partier.

So, trump arrives in Texas wearing the hat he's pimping for $40 on his campaign website, relishes the size of the crowd, and looks forward to the congratulations he will receive for handling the hurricane.

This guy is a disgrace.

You would have said the same thing if he didn't come, if he came earlier or if he came later. That you can't understand that people see through the hypocrisy is disgraceful.

President Trump has done everything right, so you're left to complain about his hat. Want to complain about FLOTUS' shoes too, while you're at it?
