Stanford's vs Rice's depth charts
In terms of size, offensively very even; Stanford's defense may be a little bigger----so size should not be the determining factor.

Are the Walter twins reversed? I thought Austin was the running back?

Anybody know what a "science, tech, and society" major entails?

Course requirements

Students can get a socio-cultural focused BA or a technical focused BS. Courses range from Cell Phone Photography to Managing Sustainable Building Projects. It's really so broad that I don't know how they can call it a single major.

My daughters might want to go to Stanford once they find out you can take a class there on cell phone photography.

That's actually my area of research. And it's basically exactly what it sounds like: the connections between science and society (for example: how political or cultural factors affect funding or confidence placed in science), technology and society (for example: how technologies change how people interact), and all possible permutations thereof

It certainly plays better than A&M's Parks & Recreation major that is listed often for football players.

It's almost as if as your school grows in size you can offer more and more specialized courses and fields of study...

I do wonder if that major falls under say a school of science or humanities. I imagine humanities?

What a great country!!!

Rice offers plenty of similar oddly named courses, especially since they started doing student taught courses.

Back in my day, the course's official names were OK, but the nicknames were hilarious:

Life and Literature of the Southwest: Cowboys and Indians (no longer PC) (except for the cowpersons, I mean)

Naval History - Gunboats

Current History - Paper Dolls.

These were so-called "jock" courses I took, looking for some easy grades. The first one turned out to be the best class I took at Rice. The other two damn near flunked me out.

I took "Bombs and Rockets" too. Also "Rocks for Jocks." Did not take "Stars for Studs."

Not impressed.
Come back and let us know when you've done graduate level work in the field.

Nice article by an Australian newspaper.

Maybe the Chron should hire him.

How about HC and assistants. Call it for what it is. With current coaching staff, we will always be out coached. Well let me give the DC a break. He's new
