Firing Ruff had nothing to do with where ECU was last year. We were headed down that path with or without him, and him and his staff were the ones who caused it. 2015 and 2016 we had little talent and little to zero depth. There was a pretty amazing amount of recruits who should've been on those teams and A)signed and never made it or B)transferred/got kicked off/quit.

Not to mention we were absolutely loaded in 2014, the 5th ranked offense in the country and a respectable defense that was ranked somewhere in the middle of the pack nationally. The way we finished off that season was demoralizing and it just went down hill from there which then rolled into 2015.

We are starting to right the ship but who know's if this years record will indicate that. We've got an absolute BRUTAL schedule the first 8 games of the year, it doesn't let up.

Actually we made the right move at the right time. We have a much better staff who has already been here for a year and has started to make the much needed moves to bring us back.

5dimes had it for OVER a month. The line started at ECU +3 1/2 then moved to ECU + 5 1/2 and settled at ECU + 4 1/2. It was removed a few weeks ago and I would imagine be back up shortly. There was speculation on the ECU boards that it was pulled due to heavy $$$ coming in on the ECU side

You live in your own world truly. Some of the things you say have no correlation with anything else.

There really was not a glaring lack of talent last season, pretty consistent with what ECU has historically. It was how it was being utilized or lack thereof.

I have to disagree with you on this this statement that the lack of talent , pretty consistent with what ECU has historically. I do not know how long you have been following ECU football but I have been following since 1979. I can tell you that ECU has had some very good players over the years but that depth was their main problem with finishing seasons. I think the depth is getting microwaved this year with Grad Transfers and Juco's until the recruits Coach Mo bring in can grow up. He is recruiting well. When was the last time we had numerous running backs over 220lbs and young? It's been a while. Once he can recruit some 240-250lb LB's (we may already have some) and more nasties in the trenches then ECU will greatly improve. The air raid was fun to watch and set numerous passing records but it just masked a lot of flaws that were occurring on the O line and the 3-4 defense was trying to mask the problem of not recruiting successfully enough D-Linemen. I expect to see us go back to a bruising running game if the O-Line can come through and I expect the defense to make a significant jump this year if the injury bug stays away.

1) You SNUCK by a terrible SMU team in 2015. They are definitely better now, and I imagine they would also pound you this season and probably even last season.

2) The only FBS team you played last year beat you 56-28. It was 35-21 at halftime. UNC was a good team, no doubt... but 56-28 is 56-28 no matter how you slice it. Yeah, you won the FCS title, but who even cares about that, really? I didn't even know it was on TV.
