Not bashing the kid or the dad, but how many times did either of them mention how East did this past season, or say anything positive about his teammates, or take any responsibility for TJ's decrease in production or playing time? Every thing that was said was about putting the kid on a pedestal and then blaming others for why he's not better than he is. And, I don't mind a father sticking up for his son, but he sounded like an agent not a parent.

TJ is being recruited by a ton of major universities, what is the need for respect, publicity, etc.? Do your work as a player and a student and get to the college of your choice. The NBA is not gonna bypass you because of the high school you attended.

all of that is well and good, but why call a damn press conference for a mid-tiered HS kid who is transferring from one HS to another? why is that news and what coach would want to take on that Dad and give him a bigger stage? Transferring is fine, and maybe even justified, but the circus surrounding that poor kid it is not. That circus is all about the Dad.
