Can't find quote, but I read somewhere Terrell Pryor said the Skins have 11 good WRs and are going to have a lot of trouble cutting 5.
There are videos all over twitter of Pascal making catches. He's been one of the most talked about player. But tons of competition.

Sounds accurate from what I hear. Like I said before, if Pascal really had 13 or so other teams to choose from, it was very questionable why they choose the Redskins to try to make the roster. Plenty of other teams have much less depth at WR. For the future, how about Minnesota and team up with Heinicke?

I don't know the NFL contract rules but if he doesn't make the roster is he obligated to stay on the practice squad the whole season?
He could just be using the Redskins' camp and preseason to advertise how he can compete with the best. Then he jumps to another team as soon as he's cut.

If they put him on the PS any team can pick him up as long as that team keeps him on their active roster.
My guess for ZP is he'll spend the season on WAS practice squad.

Correct. If another team signs him off the PS, that team must keep him on active roster for 3 games.

How close attention do teams pay to rookie players on other teams during summer camp? If people are paying attention they might give ZP a chance on another team short of receivers.

On yesterdays Q&A with Gruden after practice, Zach Pascal was the first rookie WR he brought up with good things to say.

Based on everything we are hearing, I will go out on somewhat of a limb and predict that ZP is on an NFL team's 53 man roster this fall. If he does not make the Skins' 53 man roster, I am confident he will be on their practice squad, and it will not take long for another team to claim him if that is the case. Really proud of Zach. From all accounts, he is an excellent rep of the Monarchs, both on and off the field.
Hmm. ZP. I think he needs a new nickname -- The Zipper!

He's going to have to be very good on ST to make the 53 man roster. I would pay attention to how he does there in relation to the other WR fighting for a spot.

Could be a variety of things. Promise of playing time in preseason, comfort with staff, etc. He's auditioning for every team.

Your comment is spot on. Good thing for Zach is that he's very good at special teams and has embraced that role over the last few years!

RE: Monarchs Playing Pro Ball
The signs continue to look good for TH.
"Case Keenum, QB: I was almost positive that when Keenum was signed, he was going to be the backup QB, and Taylor Heinicke was going to be put in a weird limbo, his fate and career with the Vikings tied to the health of Teddy Bridgewater’s knee rehab. But no, not even close. Heinicke has played very well, save for one bad interception on Saturday, and Keenum has done himself no favors by playing as poorly as he has. About the only positive thing you can say about Keenum’s camp is that it’s been better than Wes Lunt’s camp. Wes Lunt was cut on Saturday morning. If Teddy was healthy, Keenum would be getting his pink slip soon."

I dont think Pascal makes the skins. I think they cut him and try to get him on the practice squad. It will depend on if another team wants him.

According to this writer things are looking good so far for Heinicke making the Vikings roster. He needs to maintain his status by having a good showing in the preseason games. First one is later this week versus Buffalo I think.

Best case- TH makes the cut, goes to PS after Bridgewater comes back, another team claims him as their #2. Thoughts?
