Saw the new season ticket email today. How does a professional ticket sales department not even realize they flipped a photo and the ODU is now backwards on the player's jersey? Its things like this that drive me crazy about how ODU is its own worst enemy. Thats branding people. If what we show the public is jacked up, people will think everything from the professors, to the academics to athletics are jacked up too. C'mon... strive for excellence people.

Couldnt agree more. The people doing this stuff dont care at all and no one is double checking their crappy effort. This kind of thing drives me nuts. Its pathetic
If I ever shared anything that looked like that internally at my firm I'd get some funny email responses. You are judged on those type of things. It shows a lack of investment by the University. I don't want to dog the image for the image itself. The person that did it might not be a designer or have any training. What it shows is a lack of leadership to put someone in that position that does have that training.
When JMU board posted the ODU vs JMU budget numbers and our marketing line item was $xx,000 and JMUs was $2xx,000 and change it shows. Is our budget really that small for these kind of marketing efforts that we have someone spending their last 15 minutes before going home for the day throwing together something?
This came out overly critical but I feel like we're better than that.

Are we though? I have yet to have a smooth experience with any of my ODAF transactions. Something is always missing or lost or late. I'm trying to give away money guys....don't make it so hard.

This budget thing has bugged me for a long time. There is absolutely no excuse for a "business" with a $40 Million+ budget to undercut the marketing side the way that the ODU AD does. It really shows just how much those at the top care about growing the brand.
Stop it, guys. You're all putting the blame on the wrong people. This is clearly and totally Coach Jones' fault -- after insisting that his players wear their jerseys inside out, just to make some point about the importance of defensive-minded play.
It could be worse... When I was a cheerleader we accidentally ran the flags in the wrong order after a touchdown. I have never received such hostility from home fans before lol

Thats a bummer, but those things happen. To send out a marketing piece that should have been proofed and edited by several people with an error like that shouldn't happen.

My buddies in the student section started it... Boy I'm glad they did because the boos and obscenities yelled at us from the rest of the stadium were pretty traumatizing lol

We deserve better.
Jesus.
Period.
This type of post is precisely why nothing ever changes and the fan base is dying on the vine.
This is a symptom of a much larger problem, not just here but across America in general.
Not just the acceptance but the celebration of the lowest common denominator.

To quote the great American philosophers, Wayne and Garth, "WE'RE NOT WORTHY".
Please, Razor, show us all the way to cultural enlightenment. We don't want to die on the vine. We don't want to be part of the symptomatic decline of America as a nation.
We need you, Razor, to tell us all how to think and act as fans. The future of ODU athletics, and heck all of America, depends upon you.
...
Or, on the other hand, it could have just been a sorry-ass attempt at humor on my part. You decide.

I remember this game. That was quality chanting that I took part of.
