AKRON: @ Penn State, v Arkansas-Pine Bluff, v Iowa State, @ Troy
BOWLING GREEN: @ Michigan State, v South Dakota, @ Northwestern, @ Middle Tennessee
BUFFALO: @ Minnesota, @ Army, v Colgate, v Florida-Atlantic
KENT STATE: @ Clemson, v Howard, @ Marshall, @ Louisville
MIAMI-OHIO: @ Marshall, v Austin Peay, v Cincinnati, @ Notre Dame
OHIO: v Hampton, @ Purdue, v Kansas, @ UMass
BALL STATE: @ Illinois, v UAB, v Tennessee Tech, @ Western Kentucky
CENTRAL MICHIGAN: v Rhode Island, @ Kansas, @ Syracuse, @ Boston College
EASTERN MICHIGAN: v Charlotte, @ Rutgers, @ Kentucky, @ Army
NORTHERN ILLINOIS: v Boston College, v Eastern Illinois, @ Nebraska, @ San Diego State
TOLEDO: v Elon, @ Nevada, v Tulsa, @ Miami (FL)
WESTERN MICHIGAN: @ USC, @ Michigan State, v Idaho, v Wagner
A lot of it will depend on injuries and turnovers but the mac usually has 3 or 4 sometimes 5 good upsets/wins over P5
I don't think Akron gets one, Iowa St is improving and their coach knows Akron and Bowden's schemes
I don't think BG gets one either but I could see them taking one of those middle of the pack BIG10 teams down to the wire with some breaks
Buffalo is the team I think we'll have a better year than expected. Doubt they upset a solid Minnesota team but they will have a shot considering Minny will be installing brand new schemes this year. I think they beat either Army or FAU (who should be a good G5 program under Kiffin)
Kent's sched is murder
I'll pick Miami over Cincy at home
Ohio beats Kansas and the Purdue game should be a close one
Ball St will need some luck to beat Illinois but the talent gap won't be huge as Ill has been out of sorts as a program for years. WKU on the road looks too tough but maybe they get a bunch of turnovers
CMU-Kansas should be a tight game and BC's conservative style and limited offense should mean a close contest
EMU beating Rutgers would be big. They closest they've come to big non conf win in the past decade is last year's home squeaker over Wyoming. Depends on if they can put together a competent oline because the rest of their squad looks decent on paper.
NIU at home vs BC should be close, I don't think they beat SDSU on the road. NIU always seems to play terrible out west.
Toledo has a tough G5 game against Tulsa and Miami (Fla) is loaded everywhere but their secondary which means Toledo might have a shot if they can contain the pass rush on Woodside, especially considering they get the Canes after their tilt with Florida St which might leave them beat up or on an emotional let down.
I'll pick WMU over MIch St if they get that QB situation figured out and don't have major injuries in the USC game the week before.
So, P5 wins: either NIU or CMU over BC, WMU over MSU, CMU and Ohio over Kansas
Big G5 wins: Miami over Cincy, Toledo over Tulsa, Buffalo over Army
Less likely, but possible, Toledo over Miami, Ball St over Illinois, Ohio over Purdue, EMU over Rutgers
