I was Bulls fan because I lived in the area where the Bulls played. Becoming a fan at the start of the Jordan years is a happy coincidence. Stayed a fan post 1998; until, you know.

The notion of cheering for a for profit enterprise that plays a game for entertainment is ridiculous.
That said, how do local franchises that expand or relocated to cities with great numbers of fans of the teams in that sport gain fans if people don't change who they were fans of? The whole point of supporting another city's team was because Memphis didn't have a team. Well Memphis has a team.

However, I did say that if they drafted Lonzo, I was through.
So ...
Being a Lakers fan is like being a Bruins fan. Of course, you'd say you've been a Tiger your whole life and are a Memphis grad, etc...
But jamammy is Memphis but jamammy isn't pulling for the home team?
Was jamammy cheering for the Moondogs too?

That's a low blow, man.
Pulling for the glamour franchise that has a good winning history instead of your scrappy underdog local team is like being a UTK fan.
BTW... I became a Bulls fan in 1985. I really got into it when I was truly old enough to understand the game. So I was behind the Bulls for 16 years? Memphis officially got the Grizz 16 years ago this month. So now I'm at a point I've been a Grizz fan as long as I was a Bulls fan.
