He actually hits his base. Not too many politicians know how to do that. He understands that segment of the GOP base and knows how to cater to their interests.

I remember, vividly, Trump winning the election, against all odds, and the complete meltdown of the left, which is still in full force. I also recall with great detail the fact that the left is 0-5 in elections since Trump took office. Not a good look for left handers at all.
If the libs have a memory at all, they'll change their ways or the reality that is today's political swing will put the last couple of nails in their collective coffins.
