If you're going to complain about threats to Trump, you need to condemn your savior when he posts violent threats himself. Like his re-tweet of an old video of Trump body-slamming Vince McMahon in a wrestling match, except this video has the CNN logo super-imposed over McMahon.

BTW, it appears that many Republican politicians are blasting Trump for the tweet. Hopefully some of the folks here will realize it's a new low for Trump, even by his standards. On 4th of July weekend too, no less.

I hope the lib that started this thread remembers it was one of his own that went out with a rifle and tried to murder a group of Republican Congressmen and succeeded in severely wounding one. While that wounded Representative is still in the hospital a Democratic official came out and wished he was dead.. So before the left tries to make any attacks on anyone they need to remember what all of the hate they have stirred up resulted in.

Im struck that people are shocked that Trump is doing this sort of thing. He's a promoter and a businessman. What did people think they were getting? Thats basically why Trump wasnt my choice. I wanted Kashich---lol...who was way too boring to gain traction in the primaries.

That said---so what? In the last 30 years the media world has changed. It's been an endless 24 hour news cycle for a while. However, of late, its become a 24 hour news cycle where the media has picked sides and plays fast and loose with the facts. The News outlets are increasingly defined less by the facts they report and more by the facts they ignore. They have simply lost any real resemblance of being fair and unbiased arbiters of truth. They have unwittingly marginalized themselves.

Just as Reagan succeeded by speaking directly to the people---This president won his primary, and later a general election, by going around that media filter using his own social media presence. It is what it is. Given that the news media has chosen sensationalism and advocacy as its bedrock, we are likely to see more of this in the future---not less. The media has lost the public trust. Most people just see the media as little more than the home team PA announcer in politics.
