The government should serve its citizens in a manner completely blind to religion.

If the nominee is willing and able to treat non-Christian citizens with the respect and equity they deserve, then there is no problem.

I normally don't get bothered one way or another by what's said in committee hearings since it's more of a forum for politicians to grandstand that anything else, but that actually bothered me. Sanders crossed a line. What's sad is I doubt it'll get mentioned outside of a few message boards and conservative websites.

I agree. That's why it bothered me. He seemed genuinely annoyed that the guy had the nerve to be a Christian and that should be enough to disqualify him. Sanders has a pretty dangerous worldview.

It was unsettling how angry he seemed at the end. I had to watch it again out of surprise. You won't meet someone who thinks religion is as dumb as I but any government official who discriminates based on religion is obviously in the wrong. He was waaaay out of line.

The nominee didn't condemn anyone, that is what you and Bernie's fascist minds can't comprehend.

He wrote that his bible says Jesus will condemn sinners on Judgment day, not that HE himself condemns sinners.
