Also Jitarious Gordon 6'1 guard from Horn Lake, Ms. according Leroy Watson Jr. if offered by Memphis, he would sign today.

Hardy is from up here in Michigan and his stock really went up during his senior year. I haven't seen him play, so I can't really say what kind of player he is. I actually thought that he was going to Illinois to play for Underwood, who was the coach at OK State when Hardy committed there.

You're welcome. Wish I had more to say. Kept saying I was going to make my way to some of his high school games this year, but I never made it. Had a nephew playing high school ball this year and his games took priority.

Hardy has a good reputation, and ESPN considers him a four star recruit. If Smith and staff end up signing him, I'll consider it a good pick up.

2017 G Amauri Hardy (Michigan high school) visited by Tubby and Pooh yesterday. Trying to arrange an official visit. 3-star former commit to Okie State. Arkinsaw is hot after him but I believe he visited last weekend and left without committing.

I think it's sarcasm.

But they do have great golf courses. Of course, you can only play like 3 months a year so they're crowded.

Being in Michigan, I follow high school hoops pretty closely. Never saw Hardy play in person, but his name appeared several times in various places over this past season. Good, solid player, and I hope the Tigers get him. Finished fifth in the Michigan "Mr. Basketball" voting.

Nothing's foolproof but I prefer local sportswriters and coaches opinions such as this over the *stars system. They've watched the kid multiple times and coached against him.

Hoots, where are you in Michigan, if you don't mind me asking. I'm in the Detroit area.

I didn't see Hardy play this year, but some people whose opinion I respect are high on him.

I'm a Yooper! I live in Tom Izzo's hometown, Iron Mountain. In fact, he and my brother graduated high school together (with Mariucci) and were friends all through school. Should be a State fan, I guess, but as a kid I loved Michigan, so liking State has never been an option for me. Lots of quiet co-workers when the Tigers obliterated Sparty in 2008, and I couldn't wait to get back to the office!

As for Hardy, yeah, he seems like the real deal.

Not far from Lapeer. Hunting country, I suppose. Gravel roads into a hunting "resort" I visited.

A Yooper! I know a few. All good people. :-)

That's funny that you are a Michigan fan, considering your connection with Izzo. I generally hit a couple of Michigan games per year, but I'm actually more of a State fan.

Glad to hear that Hardy is planning to visit on Thursday.

I drive through Romulus on my way to work everyday. Good basketball history in Romulus. Former Detroit Pistons Grant Long, Terry Mills, and Grant Long (all related) went to Romulus High School. And of course, Flint's basketball history is well known.
