Memphis gets another NCAA Regional
Quote:FedExForum once again will host an NCAA men's basketball regional in 2021, the University of Memphis announced Tuesday afternoon.

The South Regional semifinals and finals, more colloquially known as games in the Sweet 16 and Elite Eight, will be played on March 26 and March 28 of that year, en route to the Final Four at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.

The NCAA tournament has generally provided a strong, if brief, economic boom throughout the city. Last month's event, for example, was expected to bring more than $5 million in revenue to the local economy while also putting Memphis on a national stage.

Would never happen without the FEF & Grizzlies

Great PR for MEMPHIS

Let's hope our basketball coach at that time can take advantage from a recruiting perspective

Well! About 70% of the time, they put us in the west region. Now, I don't know if my percentage is right, but is that about accurate?04-cheers

The way things are going with Gannett, the CA and Jackson Sun will both eventually come out of Nashville. I'll send Calkins and the beat writer a list of the best restaurants.

I thought $250 for the Regional just played was a bit steep until the we found out who was playing. Won't make that mistake again.

If you believe those two then there is no hope for you either.

They were surprisingly well behaved on Friday. (Although I was late for their meet and greet with Coach Norvell). They didn't even give Strat57 any grief when he joined us in the stadium for the game.

One of my customers (a former Tiger D-Lineman) came by to eat some ribs and they didn't even ask for an autograph. Very respectful.

I'm thinking we need to invite fsquid, CapCity, Wahoowa and Memphis Mojo next year. Gonna make this an annual event.
