Seriously, have you seen Parrish.. total wimp.. I'm not sure who would be afraid to tell him anything..

He and his entire family will be at the LB tonight. As I said previously I think all you tough guys should get together and try and work up the courage to share your thoughts with him face to face. Maybe in a group you all would be as brave as you are behind a keyboard. One on one none of you are going to say ****.

The courage? That's funny, the guy is the biggest wimp in Memphis. If you think he's a bad ass, you need to hit the gym..

I never once said he was a bad ass just that you are being cowardly.

I will help arrange the meeting tonight if you would like.

Oh please.. what am I supposed to do, punch him in the face? My kids would think that's cool.. I have nothing to say to him, I don't even listen to the guys local radio show. I don't care for the guy, but obviously you do. To each his own..

Who mentioned anything about punching anyone. You could lay out why you think he is all the things you have called him here and then he would have the opportunity to respond. I am sure you are 6' 5" and fit with a voice like James Earl Jones but just in case you are not he might point some of your shortcomings out. It could be cathartic for all involved.

By the way, do your kids think it is cool that you hide behind a screen name and take personal shots at a person you don't know, don't listen to and don't care about?

Gary is an adult but he's not a grown man. He don't want any.

Well I won't be in town tonight, but, why are you so concerned about this?

I remember there was a large, "say it to his face' contingent running around on here during the Tommy West days but no so much since.

I absolutely disagree with Parrish's political views and was highly offended by the crap he used to spew on his 'sports' radio show so much so that I quit listening to him.

I moved away about three years ago and haven't listened to his show in 4-5 years now but I assume he's running the same old shtick?

If I happened to be in same place as him would I go out of my way to go over and pick a fight with him? Probably not, however, if (for whatever reason) he was loudly spouting some of his crap or, better yet, engaged me in a political conversation, sure, I'd tell him what I thought of his views and then he could decide what happened next.

Either just walk away or push the argument. I wouldn't care either way. I can't imagine that it would reach the point of getting physical but if it did I can assure you that it wouldn't end well for him. Again, I can't imagine it getting to that point.

To your point, this is a message board and he's a minor public figure. He says and does stuff on purpose to get ratings. If I want to comment on it here, I will.

Problem?

Woo!! So scary!

I've met Parrish, and don't care for the guy. If you find this guy the least bit intimidating, that's your issue. I'm not sure many grown man would be..,

I've listened to his show once or twice, and didn't care for it. So, I don't listen to it anymore. That said, I don't listen to any local radio much anymore. I prefer XM or Pandora.

I'm sure my kids wouldn't care if I disparage the guy. We're all Tiger fans and his favorite pastime seems to be to bash them. It's for ratings, I get it. All 15 of you that listen will enjoy it...

Anyway, the story of poor Keelon seems to have run it's course since his son's last twitter escapade. Most are seeing that this was a cancerous situation and a redo was necessary...

My issue stems from the personal attacks. Bad hair, talks with a lisp, is an idiot, etc. It is unoriginal, lazy, and cowardly.

Criticizing his personal appearance should not be part of the job. Criticize his opinions or his writing all you want but you look like a childish fool with all the other crap.

So are you skipping the spring game or just scared to meet Gary? Or both?

Ok, fair enough, but why do you care so much?

I think he's intelligent and fairly amusing when he's not mixing politics with his sports BUT because he's chosen to get political so much and because I absolutely disagree with most of his viewpoints I can tell you that I don't like him on a personal level.

He and his entire family will be at the LB tonight. As I said previously I think all you tough guys should get together and try and work up the courage to share your thoughts with him face to face. Maybe in a group you all would be as brave as you are behind a keyboard. One on one none of you are going to say ****.

Well I won't be in town tonight, but, why are you so concerned about this?

I remember there was a large, "say it to his face' contingent running around on here during the Tommy West days but no so much since.

I absolutely disagree with Parrish's political views and an highly offended by the crap he used to spew on his 'sports' radio show so much so that I quit listening to him.

I moved away about three years and haven't listened to his show in 4-5 years now but I assume he's running the same old shtick?

If I happened to be in same place as him would I go out of my way to go over and pick a fight with him? Probably not, however, if (for whatever reason) he was loudly spouting some of his crap or, better yet, engaged me in a political conversation, sure, I'd tell him what I though of his views and then he could decide what happened next.

Problem?

So you disagree with things he has said. I have no problem with that and I doubt he would. I am sure he would also be willing to discuss those topics at length so he could defend his point of view. Gary does not come across as the fighting type at least to me.

My issue stems from the personal attacks. Bad hair, talks with a lisp, is an idiot, etc. It is unoriginal, lazy, and cowardly.

Ok, fair enough, but why do you care so much?

I think he's intelligent and fairly amusing when he's not mixing politics with his sports BUT because he's chosen to get political so much and because I absolutely disagree with most of his viewpoints I can tell you that I don't like him on a personal level.

Hold up a second. You ask me why I care so much but then turn around and say you do not like him personally because of his political views? You have never met him. Never had a meal or a drink with him. Never sat and watched a game with him but you do not like him on a personal level? Why do you care so much?

I have been an acquaintance of Garys for many years. I personally like the guy but then again I have actually met and spent time with him.

He is not the only person I have defended here when people have gotten personal. Personal attacks on anyone should be moderated out but I am not in charge.

No, I don't like him on a personal level because of his political views AND because he constantly turns his 'sports' show into a forum to get on his political soap box

I would not want to spend time around or with him.

Let him come on here and defend himself if he wants to although I would imagine that he doesn't give two ***** what gets said here. I wouldn't if I were him........

I'd be fine with him if stuck to sports. He's no more qualified than you or me to talk politics or brain surgery, or tobacco farming yet he runs his mouth all the time. Even if he were conservative I'd still think he should LEAVE POLITICS OUT OF SPORTS.

I don't give a **** what actors, athletes, or radio sports talk show hosts think politically.

**EDIT** He also goes out of his way to slam and make fun of Christianity on his show. So not only does he drag politics into it he also waded into religion.

So yeah, I think he's way out line and have no desire to breath the same air he breathes.

seems like you could simply change the channel and save yourself a lot of grief.

As for coming here and defending himself why would he defend himself against anonymous message board users? That was never the point.

I find it hilarious that Gary is in you guys heads so much.

Hey, you put yourself out there, you gotta take the praise and the criticism too. It's part of the job...

God you are thickheaded.

Criticizing his personal appearance should not be part of the job. Criticize his opinions or his writing all you want but you look like a childish fool with all the other crap.

So are you skipping the spring game or just scared to meet Gary? Or both?

Oh, so scared!

Seriously dude? Yawn, your spew is getting old...

Just as I figured. Probably for the best. The mental casket Gary would put you in would be cold and dark.

I'm not comfortable hearing more about your relationship with Parrish. You should keep it private.

This is one of the best posts I have read on here in awhile! Perfectly stated and I totally agree. I did not realize GP makes fun of Christianity. That sucks hearing that. I listened to gp a handful of times when we were in search of a coach. I thought he may have some insight as to who we may be targeting. Needless to say I wasted my time. On the way to the store one day a few weeks back I was changing channels and heard him do his bash fest on Tubby. I turned it off. I would have to get payed tons of money to listen to him.
