I don't know if this player is any good, but someone should remind him that Scottie Pippen was a D2 player. Maybe Tubby sees something. And of course, Keelon had a $300,000 job offer as an assistant coach. He has two more kids out there. Parrish makes it sound like that is proof that Lawson is a saint because he turned it down and didn't go to Kansas.

It wasn't about money. I made $70,000 in the Memphis City Schools, then I took a pay cut, then I got the job at Memphis, I got a house in Westwood, its not about the money. Let's get a couple things out of the way first...

There are problems within this Athletic Department - directly from the top on down. Tubby isn't a good fit with the Memphis basketball culture of the last 30 years.

But, there is an evident bias within the Memphis media of the situation. This should have been about a dad getting fired and his two sons going elsewhere and the negative perception and attention the media gave it made the story something truly devastating to the basketball program.

so sad that people would do that. They should be thrown out. Sometimes it's not even racists--it's just people who wanna hurt others by calling them names that they know will bother them .

Why did your stance on landing JUCO talent change over the last week and a half. Just because what they are joining has diminished does not change their individual talent.

I'm not saying the JUCOs will save this program, but the energy and motor some of these players will bring will be very refreshing. And yes it will be a long year. But, personally I do think players like Enoh, Johnson, and Nickleberry will be successful here at Memphis.

All 3 of our incoming freshmen had high major offers. They will get plenty of opportunity here. It's going to be rough next year, but I don't see us coming up with a 8 million - 12 million buyout less than 12 months after having a multi-million buyout. Do you?
