Joe Esposito = Respect
Joe appears to be the ONLY assistant on our staff out there repping Memphis basketball.
He's the only assistant who seems to get it.
The guy appears to be a tireless worker/marketer.
I would love to see him be a part of UM basketball for many more years regardless of who the head coach is

Ok, no offense, but he's still only battling FIU, Murray State, ETSU, and the like.
Doesn't give me confidence when Memphis is up against P5 schools.

It doesn't matter who they sign, they will be leaving after a year (maybe 2) anyway....

I'm not saying that Joe E is a killer recruiter.
Just saying I appreciate his all out effort.

I agree. Joe has been very visible of late, and seems to be ramping up the energy level.

I think he's the only real recruiter on the staff.. If you think about it why would a Minnesota or Texas Tech staff need multiple hard working recruiters? Those schools aren't getting big named guys so having one hard worker is enough to get players in for that school.
So add this to the list of things tubby didn't realize, The Memphis staff needs multiple hardworking recruiters in order to get the players needed to make the program good.

Saul needs to move to DBO and Tubby needs to hire a different third assistant.
It's just not a good look.

That's a gr8 plan.....let's hope it comes to fruition, for our sake....We need as much exposure as we can get! And it's obvious that Tubby is withering......Get sum DAYUM youthful exuberance! I also like the composition of these JUCOS,although the masses seem to be in a state of disbelief

I met Esposito at church a while back. Discussed the team and he was really nice and energetic.
Saw Pooh in midtown a few weeks back. Not so much.

My son has met Pooh twice. He said that he was interesting to talk to and that he really liked him. He said he asked a lot of questions about Memphis and that he was very glad to be here. He also told him to call him if he ever wanted to come watch them practice. Now! Can he help Tubby get this program back to the NCAA tournament is different story. Only time will tell. But they need more than one year.

Come on. You're cherry picking again. With these jucos and the earlier high schoolers, we've won recruiting battles with Old Miss (multiple times), Auburn, UTK, Arkansas, Vandy, Texas Tech, Bama, Florida, and quite a few others.
Plenty to complain about. No need to go after new recruits.

I'm not cherry picking and I'm not bagging on anyone. Merely stated a fact about who Memphis is currently recruiting against.
Hell, like has been referenced before, Parrish got a call from a low major coach mad that Memphis is now after several of his targets.

Is this the new fallback term when someone has no real ability to discuss a point?
Well, all righty then.

So do you dispute the list of P5 schools that I gave you above?
You make it sound like the only other schools going after these guys are SWAC and Sun Belt. When in fact, they've had quite a few P5 offers - from guys like Kennedy, Pearl, Beard.
