Not as much as you think. Remember that they split those units among all MVC schools.

Tulane is voting no. 07-coffee3

Why? Tulane doesn't lose anything with WSU's admission, and it's not like Tulane has any real influence in the conference anyway. It would be pointless to block in this situation

Fake rumor. Why would any AAC school vote to not bring in a school that probably next year could bring more units than we have earned past two years.

Tulsa isn't a bottom feeder. That would be Tulane, ECU, USF... at least in basketball. But it's only a rumor; everyone will probably vote yes.

ECU and some others should be trying to push for votes for VCU and one other. I really want to be back in a conference with VCU.

It will be a done deal. I bet ESPN pushes for a Dayton/VCU addition in the next contract too.

That twitter link says absolutely nothing!

Hope ESPiN didn't hurt themselves too much in their efforts to put out this statement.

They $uck as a media partner, hope the AAC members leadership is taking note of this and insist that ESPiN only gets one tier in their next contract if they are even interested.

They treat the AAC as an afterthought. Best bet is to have separate bits for each tier.

Question for Shockers fans: What ever happened to the Valley? It seems like not all that long ago, the Valley was about on par with the A-10. I remember you guys, Creighton, Northern Iowa, SIU, Indiana State, Drake (one year at least), and Bradley all making noise in the Dance, especially in the late 2000's and early 2010's. More recently it's been a 1-2 bid league. Why the dropoff?

It's pretty standard (TMK) that you lose your credits. I mean you had to split them with the entire conference to begin with so you probably will still end up making more in the AAC. Am I missing something?

Great addition and next year you will be league favorites.

Yep. I'm getting more excited about this by the minute. I've seen 2 preseason polls with Wichita St at #9 for next year!

Creighton leaving obviously hurt. UNI is still decent most years. As for the rest it has been shrinking budgets and losing coaches. Just don't have the resources or aren't willing to use them to try and keep up. Several bad hires will do that. Some of the schools have had so many budget cuts I don't think they can keep up if they want to. Definitely sad. A lot of tradition in that league being one of the oldest in the country.

They and the Horizon League got hit the hardest with the last round of moves and the usual ebbs and flows of teams.

It's the "squeeze" the biased P6 committee has put on everyone. MVC isn't the only one.... AAC and MWC bids have been going down too. I think it's time for Wichita St to make the move now that Creighton has left them....This will be a win win for both parties

Me too...I think Uconn fans would be happier with a closer school like VCU. I kind of miss St Louis too...that era of CUSA basketball was my favorite.
