18 years of giving A's and B's to athletes who can't read. You must be proud! Again, 18 years is an incredible run and I want to congratulate you on it!

The NCAA will be so angry at UNC that they will end up putting Coastal Carolina on probation!

Every single G5 and P5 school is cheating. The fact that virtually all of these schools have the obligatory "Rocks for Jocks" types of classes to ensure compliance to NCAA rules coupled with the lower academic standards for the "student athletes" playing in the money sports is enough to plainly see it. Add in the "student athlete" palaces they get to kick around in plus the athletic boosters that hover around the sports... Please. UNC just got caught. Who really cares anymore. No one in positions of authority really do, because ALL of them try their hardest to be ignorant of the cheating - even the NCAA.

No they are not. Yes, there are easy classes, but not totally made up fake classes for over two decades. They ONLY reason Chapel Cheat has been allowed to keep playing is the $$$ it makes for the NCAA. Heck, let a Charlotte or UNCW type try and do what Chapel Cheat did and the punishment would have been severe and fast. BTW, lots of folks care and those that do not are actually part of the problem. I know nothing with change, there is simply too much $$ to be made.

Yes, they are all cheating. If every school held "student athletes" to the same standards as regular students, then the quality of the money sports would erode significantly. Easy classes designed to maintain athletic eligibility are still bad - even if they are real. While UNC cheated to a greater extent with fake classes, the so-called "real classes" are still a scam in their own right - just more above board based on purely technical grounds.

If you watch college football and college basketball, then you really don't care about the extent of the cheating. If you did, you would tune out on moral grounds. I'm guessing you don't do that. Therefore, you care more bout the performance itself and the faux collegiality and the faux amateur status than fundamentally broken system that we have in place that does very little to equip these "student athletes" for life after sports with a marketable skill for the job market.

Well if EVERY SCHOOL is cheating then they aren't doing it right. To be honest, Chapel Hill has wrote the book on how to cheat and get away with it. All other schools should copy and sue the hell out of the NCAA if the NCAA even thinks about snooping around. I mean, for a supposed nationally ranked university there is NOTHING worse than academic fraud. The "Carolina Way" has an entirely new meaning going forward. If "fans" of that school can live with that, so be it.

They appear to be earning their degrees now. But if Charlotte wins a National Championship, expect the book to be thrown at them.

1993 FSU & UNC
2001 Miami & Duke / & Maryland 2002

RE: ACC National Champions in Football and Men's Basketball !
SACS cleared them over the summer after their one year probation. They could have put the school on a second year, really putting the heat to them over in Chapel Hill, but the accrediting body relented. So, that part is over. For now.

Are there integrity issues at every school? Sure. But, are we talking about fraud, like UNC committed, or stuff like enrollment and admission issues? Because, yeah, a school might let someone who has no business being in school, but that person still has to pass. And "rocks for jocks" courses? Sure, they're there. Depending on what program you are in at the school, you can't take them. It's built-in quality assurance. UNC pulled both off, but the whole thing was just fraudulent. These were classes according to a staffing and funding line, and a ledger...that's about it.
