What do you expect the new capacity to be once construction is completely finished?

I really don't give a hoot what anyone else thinks especially if you've never been to any other SBC stadiums. I do have a problem with the idea that a stadium is only as good as its location. I can take a s*** on the side of a mountain too. Is it any more valuable than anyone else's s***? No, it's still a piece of s***. If the view from the stadium is the only thing that matters, then coastal shouldn't even bother renovating because your stadium will still be trash located next to a highway.

1) you don't know what stadiums I've been to 2) I didn't say the only thing I like is the mountains 3) still doesn't change the fact you sound butt hurt.

I'm not being a smart ass by saying this, because my alma mater is in the same boat.

But why? A little over 20k will be Coastal's capacity which is perfect for us, and I would think it would be perfect for Georgia State as well considering your historical attendance numbers.

Again, this goes for Coastal as well, but you have to ask yourself....how often will you ever have more than 23k people wanting to go to a Georgia State football game? It's no fun having a stadium 40-50% empty all the time.

IDK 33k would be a good number to attract larger (P5) schools to play a H&H and if you say had a home game vs a local P5 like Auburn or Tennessee in Atlanta you would need all of that capacity.

This.
We already have home games with North Carolina, Vanderbilt, and Army scheduled. When this project is complete I think you will see that it will be an attractive option for some regional programs and their fans to visit Atlanta.

Where is the extra 10K seats coming from for next year. Is that the stands they are placing in the outfield? I think this has the potential to look really great.

Did not say it was a dump just done for FCS which was my point that is it for you unless you just start over. Our FOC is much nicer and it is not used by the other 20 varsity sports like yours is. When our next expansion happens on the homes side it will be built for a FBS future not top tier FCS which what yours was built for.

As far as Coastal Fans when you have a facilities and attendance better than your local high school feel free to begin to talk smack until then quit piggy backing off of schools that actually have over 9K in attendance.

Not really, sometimes people need visual references to know how dumb they are. 07-coffee3

No GS football fan I have seen has said we are not 2nd tier at best right now so when a Coastal fan says were are "butt hurt" he might need a visual cue or ten.

I'm going with the concrete it can be pressure washed nothing but building a yuuuuge wall is going to take the ugly out of the exterior of metal "erector set" construction.

Even with your pictorial examples, I'm not understanding the fuss.

Clam down. Your concrete looks just fine, and so does Coastal's metal. You look at our expansion pics, and the stadium looks gorgeous.

Georgia Southern has nothing to be ashamed of and neither does Coastal.

This grandstanding about "erector set" stadiums is just GS fans getting an "erector set" in their pants over their beloved concrete. It's ridiculous.

Southrn game has already sold over 25k tickets each time. Why would we build smaller than our 5 largest attended games ever. And then as mentioned we have local P5s coming soon.
