RE: ESPN will cut "tens of millions" in staff salary
ESPN could save a lot of money by cutting most of their broadcast teams and use the play by play and color commentators of the home school for their games that are streamed. Leaving just their network broadcast teams on the payroll.

ESPN sends the camera crew, and we broadcast it ourselves?
Cheers!

I only watch PTI & sports reporters anymore. ESPN has killed it's own BellWeather program in sportscenter. Through it's instant streaming of game highlights on it's app. in other words, ESPN has cannibalized itself. And also has over bid on all these conference television rights and has created it's own little bubble that is going to pop. Not to mention that ESPN facilitated the destroying of some very good conferences and rivalries that helped to drive television viewership and revenue.

That's what kills me. I blame ESPN for the death of good regional conferences with very long rivalries that fans loved. 15 years ago who would of thought there would be no Pitt/WV, Nebraska/Oklahoma, Kansas/Missouri, Texas/A&M etc.? ESPN forced conference realignment destroyed those rivalries. ESPN can trick a few younger, newer fans who weren't there, but for those of us over the age of 35, we know the truth. The "markets markets markets" mantra is BS. I hope the bubble bursts, the bloated super conferences break up, and a natural realignment back to where it once was takes place. It's the reality that ESPN fixed something that wasn't broke in the first place.
Cheers!

Can't blame espn for the long UT/a&m past pathetic stupid dramas, their divorce was just a matter of time.
