RE: GO TIGERS GO
were the "football onlys" really this disenfranchised during our basketball glory years to take glee out of the current situation and basically pretend basketball is, always should should have been, and will be second fiddle to football?
Got it

I don't wanna ever have to recall this time again either.
Get us a new program, somebody.
Just do it. Start with a Coach. We need to put something new out there to grab onto. What happens if we head into the offseason as toxic as this. It's gonna become malignant.
OK..so maybe I'm jumping the gun now. But for the sake of our program in general, I stuck behind JP at least two too many years.
Not this time. Just get him out of there and do it fast. 71 points in two games...goood grief...what else do we need.
Would 100 points make it clearer than it already is?
OK. rant over. Sorry bluebacker..I didn't mean to quote you and rant.

First time I tasted it, I spit it out...for real.
It was like a liquid cinnamon cough drop.
I'm thinking he would like the EC 12 barrel strength..it's 134 proof or something like that.

According to our basketball beat writer...KJ and Dedric were laughing coming out of the time out huddle. There you have it. I hope this is the end of the Lawson's and their ineptitude daddy on this staff. If you have a damn about winning, why were you freakin laughing while being manhandled on national television? Sabotage -Cancer-Tubby man up and get Keelon off your staff.

Not sabotage...
There was some ineptitude and bad coaching...
But you also cant overcome a situation where teams can just collapse into the paint and leave guys wide open and those open guys either miss or wont shoot.

Damn. You dating Tubby? Stop throwing the kids under the bus.
It's not a good look.
This is on Tubby.
He's had the team for a year.
He chose not to fill out the roster.
The team has regressed instead of improved.
Deal with it.
That was a low blow even for a smart azz like yourself. Man up and admit you hate Tubby Smith...period! No one can satisfy the miserables in this town, not even Cal. You choose to blindly not accept that these players are what they are. I'm not throwing the players under the bus. I'm just not wearing rose colored glasses.

You do hate the hiring of Tubby though right? It's pretty clear that you do with the words you choose to post. My thing is this, if he does turn it around will you and others get on board? I think I know a few that won't. Even if he finishes in second place next season and goes to the sweet 16, there are some here that will still not get on board simply because they didn't hire Gregg Marshall. It screams "I'm a pathetic fan". Now, I have been on record saying that if Tubby doesn't get it done and he's getting blown out like the past two games, I will be off of the "I support Tubby train". I gave Wonder Boy a fair shake and he showed me early his azz didn't have it, so I blasted him. Mainly because I'm a paying customer and I wasn't getting my money's worth or a good product and thus it became unpleasant. I'll do the same here with Tubby. But again how can you call yourself a fan if you were blasting the coach minutes after he was hired?

Tubby does not have a reputation for being inept. How can a HOF coach receive this kind of inept criticism? He's had success everywhere he's coached. The crazed, psychotic fan base with these idiotic, fabricated critiques of the guy are mind boggling and beyond reasonable. It's so unfair.

I understand why the rational and caring Tiger fans no longer post here. It's completely pointless. More importantly, serious and dedicated fans will continue to support the Tigers! Good Luck next season, Coach!

That's my prediction. We need a new coach. period.
I'm not gonna blindly support something that has already crashed.
edit: I'm not saying it's on the Coach we have either. But he has made his wishes clear.
We got here because of a lot of unfortunate happenings along the way,
but I don't see Tubby leading a team out of the ashes, unless other changes get made, and even then I have my doubts.
Anytime a coach starts saying the expectations of the fans are driving him down..after the first year... that ain't good.
There. shrug...no biggie..
Go Tigers.
Yet, you supported the demolition of the program for seven long seasons, didn't you?
What do you know about me...especially having just got here...?
Other than you being an azz, there's nothing else of interest to know.

I supported Pastner the first three years after Cal. Unlike the psychopaths on here...I waited for CJP to recruit his type of players and figured he had learned from the best coach @ Arizona and then Calipari. I was excited about Paz getting the job. He was notably a great recruiter who believed in outworking his competitors in terms of recruiting. Therefore, the answer to your question is yes.

Not all seven years but the first three I supported CJP. We were despondent after the departure of Cal to Kentucky at the time.
