One problem is it would force conderences to publicly acknowledge that they are a 1-bid league, something most are hesitant to do. Don't agree with the 10-0 lead thing, either - kinda stupid. Perhaps tourney at top team site.

The 10-0 lead is incredibly stupid. Also, sitting around all week with a bye to the championship game is a sure fire way to lose. The other team will be too primed to play.

Gary must be looking for stuff to write about. Very stupid idea.

The way it works now is the best. Regular season gets NIt bid if they blow it.

And logistics make it almost impossible to hold the tournament at the top team site. What if the top team isn't decided until the last game?

Yep. Arguments have been made in the past that having a bye and playing a team that played the day before makes the 1st game of a toruney for a byed team their most difficult game...

...especially when the opposing team has played a good game the day before and you're too preoccupied negotiating the Stanford job through your agent...

Teams 9-12 should travel to teams 5-8 for the 1st round games on Sunday before the 8 team tournament starts on Thursday.

Only teams in the Top 8 , Men's and Ladies, should be allowed to host the tournament.

That is the single dumbest idea I have seen since Larry Langford wanted to build a cruise ship terminal in Birmingham.

I think Parrish realizes it too. I listen to his radio show daily and he has never even brought anything like this up before. Simply page clickbait
